I just don't understand what is happening with all the police personel being investigated for various crimes and now this. Do they somehow think because they wear a badge, that they are above the law and can not be held accountable for their actions. I know that police (local, state or national) undergo a psych evaluation before they are hired, but I am beginning to think that maybe every 5 years they need to have a psych reevaluation done as part of the review. This might weed out some of the bad apples that are making people not trust police or police officials. Of course, the same could be said for some of the politicians, that are in office.

The line between cop and criminal is usually a fine one. It is easily crossed. Many, many people who are cops simply shouldn't be. It is foolish to blindly trust the police.

Let's not rush to judgement.
He was seen with "an underage female" in an "unmarked vehicle."
Sounds like someone wants to cause trouble for a lawman, simply because he wears a badge.
I am suspicious of such general statements.
Let me give you an example why.
My father was accosted by an acquaintance who snidely commented on "that younger woman" my father was seen with, having dinner.
My father replied, "You mean my daughter?"
The acquaintance knew my father's wife was in ill health, and the "younger woman" was lovely, tall and slender with long dark hair. And great legs.
"You mean my daughter?"
The acquaintance's face fell about three feet. He crawled under the carpet and slunk off to sulk.
Let's wait for the facts before we begin passing out sacks of feathers and boiling the tar.

so the battle between the sheriff and patrol continues. they have always hated each other and fight constantly while the public loses; in money and protection. they fight at accident scenes, within the state of ohio, behind the scene and in incidents like this. let's vote for another tax increase so they can add more to the bloated state and county employees.

I know Roger Norris personally way back from the days when he worked at a post in close proximity to Columbus. Roger is not this kind of person....at all. I'd be very surprised if you don't hear of something coming out of this later, not only exonnerating him, but resulting in charges against the so "witness". Lots of people with a vendetta against police officers out thta way (eastern Ohio) for DUI, Narcotics, Domestic Violence, and such.

why wasn't he placed on administrative leave pending this investigation. Right or wrong this can be a serious accusation. Proper channels need to be followed for any investigation.

If these actions are proven to be false. Then an appology is expected. Typical to destroy a persons life, ruin his family life, and life goes on.

does he drive a state car back and forth to belmont county from columbus every day? he makes 90k a year and drives around on state gas, nice. if so that's rediculous on its own. the girl could have been a daughter or relative. either way they have no business being in a state vehicle going anywhere for any reason. my guess is the witness knows mr. norris and what he does for a living. he probably works for the sheriff's department and is a relative/spouse of someone who does.

Lives in Belmont county, works in Columbus, drives an unmarked state vehicle, and maybe provides transportation to young ladies.

The real question to be addressed is "what is he doing with an unmarked state vehicle in Belmont County?

If you don't believe my previous post, just watch how the News Media helps them by "Burying" any story on wrong doing by an Ohio police officer just as fast as they can....look for the one reported yesterday about the Lt. on Delaware's force that didn't give the field sobriety test to the fellow officer's daughter...I posted on it and can't find it now...in Ohio (and just about ANYWHERE else) police officers ARE (and consider themselves as being) ABOVE THE LAW.

I too know this person and I will go out on a limb and say it is true. I also worked with him at a post "near" columbus and know how he is. He met his wife there while married....PLEASE he thinks he is perfect and lies all the time....I say what goes around comes around and Roger you are finally getting what you deserve. If ny some really low chance this is not true now I hope you know how it is when you make up storied that are not true just to get promoted. ANd yes they will promote "trouble makers" if they can not get rid of them due to the union. I say haha and Karma is a *****!
