Wow! Fickell's focus is on practice, NCAA hearing officials
are going to love that. Ohio State is still tone death.
Hey, Ohio State, the NCAA is trying to get your attention.
Anyone home?

Going into a hearing like that, why would Fickell tell a
reporter his mind was somewhere else? Looks like
Fickell is the one that needs the coaching.

At this point I think everyone with the exception of Gee is full of crap. How can you coach and teach these young men day in and day out and not see all of these expensive tattoos popping up. They had to wonder how they were paying for them. We know that JT knew and passed it on to Smith, we he fails to admit to. But yet he was making call after call to Pryor's mentor. Why?

I will always watch OSU sports. I am a true Ohio State Fan. To bad some are only going to watch when the team is doing good..

Never know they could surprise EVERYONE and win ALL their games.

After losing a multimillion dollar job at OSU over thugs I would not be cooperating in any NCAA investigation If I was J.T.

"With the exception of Gee?" The same Gee who, attending a very important and serious press conference intended to acknowledge and apologize for Tressel's rules violations, said he was 'glad the coach hadn't fired' HIM?

ROTFLMAO!

I mean, I agree with the rest of it, but come on - GEE?

Hey BUCKEYE300, are OSU players the only college football players with tattoos? Tattoos must just be cheaper in other cities right? Is it illegal to get a tattoo? Its a freakin tattoo, not rolex watches or even a custom suit (Alabama)

The NCAA wont ban OSU from bowl games til the 2012 season. They wont ban OSU and USC in the same post season. Too much money there.

Will be interesting to see if having a former NCAA guy as your AD, and the actions they've already taken, will keep the NCAA from stripping OSU's skin from their bones....or not.

I'm guessing they lose some scholarships and at least one bowl appearance (this year's, not that we're likely to make it to one)....not too much more than that.

I agree with those who've suggested that Fickell take this seriously and "focus" on NCAA penalities, at least briefly. He's a head coach, he needs to take on the responsibilities of one.

Hopefully the NCAA see's through the "payoff" smoke screen that OSU plans to present in its defense. The vest "retires" with a pension in return for claiming that he was solely responsible for the violations. What a nice, neat package.

I agree with Harvey, Gee is one of the biggest jokes at OSU. He should be fired too!
I wonder if they ask JT about Maurice Clarett? "Coach Tressel, how did you not know that as a freshman, Clarett was living in a brand new fully furnished apartment out by Easton, and driving a brand new Lincoln Navigator?" This all goes back to the fact that JT turned a blind eye to everything going on even when he was coaching at Youngstown State.
As Charlie Sheen would say, "It's all about Winning!"

Guido -- Why wouldn't he cooperate? JT was the one who stuck up for the thugs in the first place. It's his own fault that he got fired. OSU did what they had to do...Only you are accountable for your actions. You can't blame someone else for your bad decisions.

Ohio St. is more guilty than USC was.

If the NCAA does not levy the same or greater penalty as that which was issued to USC, the NCAA will be exposed for what they are. The NCAA should be investigated by the US Department of Justice for being a monopoly living on students while stating that the students receive benefits in the form of an education.

NCAA and the BCS should be declared a monopoly and disbanded.
