The only thing I learned from this story is that the Dispatch should stick to writing about poison ivy, not global warming...

Earlier springs, warmer weather, more rain, more robust gardening - all courtesy of "Global Warming" and more CO2. Works for me!

When Angie's poison ivy is cleared away, everthing in the garden will be rosy.
Scuse the pun.

"The world is experiencing warming, there's no question about that. One of the effects is that spring has come earlier in many places," Tans said.

Pardon?
Summer is almost here, it begins on June 21st, only 19 days from today.

So what if spring arrived early, we'll get fresh strawberries sooner.

Every line has a silver clouding.

Why is the Dispatch still giving ink to these tree-hugging hippies, other than on the comics page? So-called man-made global warming/climate change has been thoroughly discredited. The Dispatch is supposed to be a NEWS-paper.

Hmm. CO2 Causes globo warming. Plants consume CO2, grow, and then provide oxygen and foodstuffs. Spring arrives earlier, so more CO2 is consumed sooner. Stupid liberal eco frauds can't shut up about global warming scam

Last month I spoke with a Colorado State University professor. He told me that there have been over 20 studies done on "Global Warming" and the results are statistically inconclusive. So what does that mean - GLOBAL WARMING IS A MYTH BEING FABRICATED BY GOVERNMENT TO PROMOTE CERTAIN LEGISLATION - IN PARTICULAR THE "CAP & TRADE" BILL.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY THE LIE - WE DO NOT NEED "CAP & TRADE".

If passed, it WILL put more AMERICANS out of WORK!

We all know that prior to George Bush, the poison ivy plant was actually not poison and quite a tasty fruit bearing vine.

"However, a warmer spring also has its perks." So now global climate change has its perks. Rising ocean water, species extinction, millions displaced, but hey, our roses bloom earlier!

Keep laughing at the thought of climate change and then we'll see how funny it is when next winter is worse than the last, when we have to start shipping water from the Great Lakes to the Southwest, and half the east coast is underwater.

However, just because we've have an exceptionally nice spring this year I don't think anyone should assume it's due (or not due) to climate change.

I think we had one day over 90 degrees last summer. Was that because of global warming also?

Yeah, those rising oceans have Miami looking like Venice Italy, just like Algore predicted. Global warming killed T Rex and his little buddies.

Has everyone gone crazy ? At least Al Gores' wife finally saw the light
and sent him packing.

Global warming is causing the poison Ivy to grow better !!! I have a farm
in Southeastern part of the state , and I have poison Ivy that has stocks as large as 2" in diameter , and that is not because of global warming , that is because I didn't interupt its growth.
In August of 1936 my mother told me (many times ) of the 106+ temps.
that she had to bear,as I was being borne.
So let me ask you think back , ask your grand parents , or parents , and
see how they compair todays temps to years ago.
And let me ask you , how long has it been sence you have seen 100*
temps..........here in southern Ohio , last year ( NONE ).
But yet be still buy into " GLOBAL WARMING " just because the man
that Mrs.Gore gave up on ( after 40 years ) we have a warming problem .
My last comment : check the thermometer..........

, and they should learn to write about it appropriately. Unless cleaned off the oil in poison ivy can remain active on any surface for years and still cause a reaction (referring to their transition to climate change: "plants such as poison ivy are coming in sooner"). The vines continue to hold the oil regardless of when the leaves appear. Climate change or not, 90% of humans are allergic to the oil and can get a rash any time of the year. I got it after just picking up wood for a fire in the middle of winter (oh yeah, don't burn anything with PI on it, eek, that was bad...).

Regarding climate change: How long has the earth been here? How long have humans kept records? Only in our proud, self-righteous hearts can we claim to know anything about what happens on this tiny, terrestrial ball. Turn to the One who created not only the earth but the heavens, the Lord of all creation, when things like this create fear and uncertainty.
