Agreed. I don't know how big a group the witchhunters are. Unfortunately, one (I know this from personally witnessing) actually lives in front of a parish in Toledo--complete with goofball yard signs, accosts priests he may see, has had a personal loud "protest" before Mass, etc. <rolling eyes> So, yes, the non-Catholic attitude has become pervasive even within a support group--which is probably causing a good part of the problem of why they cannot get support from the bishops.

Sorry dude, but I do think the Diocese will argue this on religious exemption if possible. They're not dumb either. And that IS if the city decides to sue. It's a minor matter to the city, it's only a misdemeanor with small fines. Won't mean she gets her job back, either.
LOL, cities don't sue when a law is broken!

And if you think Mayor Coleman, who is standing behind the teacher, considers this a "minor matter" then you really aren't as smart as you want people to think.

Not sure anyone said it was "minor". But it is a misdemeanor.$1000 fine. Who are they gonna jail for 180 days? The Bishop? LMAO if they tried.

My apologies again. I misread, had two windows open.

I get to be as goofy as I want. This place needs to lighten up a bit.

Well, when there really are witches and the witches' protectorate declines to act, somebody needs to hunt them down.

The truth will come out through depositions if it gets that far.

Or they're simply haters unleashed. That seems to be the case in the Church.

Reader, as you have stated on MANY occasions, you approve not only of abortion, but late term abortions for many reasons, including 'economic.'

Do you then want me to believe you have any religious beliefs that you adhere to if they become inconvenient? And, by the way, that's a rhetorical question. Not getting in a debate.

Why aren't you at the Gosnell trial?

No exemption that I can see within the Columbus code. I would suspect the diocese will challenge it on that basis, too.
Further, I won't doubt the Church's arguments will be based somewhat similarly to the code of ethics I posted earlier for Catholic teachers. The Church's teachings are clear in that it brings its morals and teachings to the public in a spirit of generosity. It is up to each individual to accept or not. This teacher ACCEPTED the church's teachings when she accepted the job. This teacher was not ill-treated or discriminated against in any manner during her employment, rather it seemed as if the community appreciated her talents. This is not the reverse matter of where a religious person was insisting on his/her morality be imposed on students within a public institution.
No foul here, the teacher broke the contract with the expected morals or ethics (ethical because I see she could have been considered to be deceiving her employer with her relationship status).
Have you read the contract?
