You would think the increase in taxes would get the cops to patrol areas instead of sitting around looking for speeders. What is it going to take for the government to take action and clean this city up?

You got to get away from those kind of people. This is what happens if you gang bang around.

Don't ever wish for someone else to make you feel safer. You are the only one who is responsible for your own feeling of safety. It is avoiding our own problems to look to someone else for any kind of answer. Indeed, even assuming an elected official represents us, is the reason whenever something about the city that needs addressed isn't, that all there is, is nothing but constant talk of "what if's," and "should be's." None of this talk has ever solved a problem in the past. And if the elected official were truly listening, cared, and could actually navigate around all of his own politics to do something, these problems might have been lessened, or perhaps even solved. A preacher once said, "Where in this world is anybody safe from death?"

Where in the article did it say the victim is black and in a gang?

You're right. I'm guessing he was an Eagle Scout out picking up trash to make his community better.
What do you think?

We need to hear more about this. Was it a homeless man that was found or someone that was killed and dumped there? Maybe he is the person that shot the Cop on the Westside earlier. Hmmmmmmmm, we will wait and see.

Why do people come here and throw there stereotypical views out there for us to read? We don't even know what race this guy was, or if he even knew anyine in a gang. It seems like everytime I read an article about crime, and read the comments, its the same bantering about it being a minority that was the culprit. Earlier someone said that the guy who shot the cop should be deported. Deported to where? Why are we assuming that he is here illegally?

You know, for several of you to assume he was in a gang, there aren't many gangs in Columbus. This could have very well been any of us, in the wrong place, at the wrong time. Life has very little value to people who were born in the late 70's to the late 90's. Earlier comments made reference to him being black as well as him being amish.....hmmmm. These comments have since been deleted....so please understand that this young man has family and is loved!! Please put yourself in our families place. THIS WILL BE SOLVED!!!!!!

I work with this young man's father. He was a very nice man from a very nice family. NOT A GANG BANGER. If you dont know anything about it, and you dont value human life, then keep your comments to yourself. Please pray for this young man's family.

Pardon my skepticism that says you are full of it. I guess we will see when his name is published and we can check out his court record. www.fcmcclerk.com - click on Public Access. In almost all of these cases, it turns out to be live by the gun, die by the gun. Just sayin,,,

The S Hamilton & Refugee area is a war zone. This is one area of Columbus that u want to avoid day or night.I'm amazed that people risk their lives by going to shop at the nearby mall. The area business's is a mix of strip clubs, liquor stores, check cashing places etc.......

You're not saying anything that makes a difference right now, you are striking up emotion. Please refrain from your derogatory comments there are other family members that will log in, in the future. Thank you.
And why would any family member log into one of these threads? To see what wonderful things are being written about their family member? I highly doubt it. Statistics don't lie, that's all I'm saying. If the victim does NOT have a criminal record, I'll log back on and eat crow.

There are many in Franklin and surrounding counties that carry on a daily basis. Too many thugs in central Ohio.
