And soooooooo it begins,

The state of Washington's Attorney General's Office is now suing the owner of a local flower shop that refused to provide flowers for a gay couple's wedding due to religious beliefs.

Keep voting with these far left wing lib Democrats, we'll just keep getting more and more of this crap.

This is a privately owned business and the government is suing them.

I'm not religious, but how long before they force churches to perform these weddings in their facilities?

Funny you should mention that:

Adam Carolla: Gay Marriage Inevitable, So is Left's March to Force Churches to Comply

"It'll be legalized, hopefully, and then you'll think we'll be done with it, and then they'll say,'we want to get married at the Crystal Cathedral,'" Carolla said on a recent podcast. "And the guys at the Crystal Cathedral will go 'no, we don't agree with it, and according to our faith, a man doesn't lie down with another man, and a chick who looks like a man doesn't lay down with another human who drives a Subaru. We don't condone this.' There's a gonna be a march, and then there's gonna be a thing and it's gonna go to the Supreme Court again. This much I know ... there will be more fighting. it will continue."

It is up to the state to enforce the law, which varies from state to state. Most of the cited article is about a couple who appears to have no recourse.

On its Terms of Use page, Etsy states users must abide by "any applicable law, statute, ordinance or regulation (including, but not limited to, those governing export control, consumer protection, unfair competition, anti-discrimination or false advertising)." However, it also says a seller reserves the right to refuse service as long as it is communicated through proper channels.

At the same time, state law varies widely in terms of business transaction protections for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.

For example, New York state's Sexual Orientation Non-Discrimination Act "prohibits discrimination on the basis of actual or perceived sexual orientation in employment, housing, public accommodations, education, credit, and the exercise of civil rights" but does not necessarily cover private business transactions.

In contrast, the Washington Attorney Generalís Office is suing the owner of a local flower shop that refused to provide flowers for a gay couple's wedding due to religious objections. Washington law stipulates that state citizens have the "right to engage in credit transactions without discrimination."

Yeah. There's already been so much success in demanding equality for women within churches, hasn't there?

Point is that there has been no government intrusion in that area. On what possible grounds could the government dictate to churches which unions they will bless?

That's what civil unions are for.
