I'm beginning to see that each generation has a tech scumbag who sells out to uncle sugar and his MIC in betraying his white countrymen. Bill Gates is the last most obvious. And in a nod to Enzyte Bob, PFuqqerburg is a sell-out filthy jew and as a progressive liberal jew is an enemy to free men. Facebook is the dumbest thing since affirmative actiuon

That's indeed part of it. Of course, no one ever asks Zuck about a certain Latin that he forced out of Facebook.

He's a tool of the CIA, IMO.

I'm not sure I see a problem here. So a contrary opinion:

Quoting the article:

"The payoff on the immigration provision could be substantial, allowing Facebook and other technology companies to avoid a requirement that they make a “good-faith” effort to recruit Americans for jobs before hiring from overseas. Facebook could also sidestep proposed rules that would force it to pay ****much higher wages to many foreign workers.****"

and

"They said any new wage requirements would have “little or no impact” on Facebook because it pays engineers a “competitive wage that is well enough above the lowest level required by current law.”"

This is very, very true. IT professionals, programmers, network engineers, etc. are NOT going to be at all affected by wage laws in this context. We all make waaaaaaaaaay more than the minimum required by these laws. Market demand has always been high for us, as are education and experience requirements. Foreigners who are hired are not illegals and are often recruited from college or offered a visa. Why? Because we don't have enough graduates in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) right now to fill the demands.

Fix the educational component in the US, you may have helped to solve any perceived issues here.

And regarding Facebook, it's just another media component. If you don't like it, disregard it. You can turn off the TV, right? You all realize Topix has just as much data on you as does Facebook? Topix does gather demographics...

I'm not a huge Facebook fan. It's an entertainment for me as well as a tool for me for another effort since I do genealogical research and writing on a website. Other than that, it is what it is. A piece of media. You don't have to feed it.

It's about demographics, and dollars/sense.

By allowing a large increase in the supply, the prices will inevitably drop tremendously. Now from a simple market perspective, that's a good thing. But that's not the only perspective I operate from.

I don't do facebook, I got bored of it years ago.

The immigration bill is good for the leaders of the american-israeli victim cult. Most if not all of the people receiving amnesty are victim cult people. The american-israeli victim cult includes all of these subclasses of people...

women
blacks
jewish
LGBTQ queer
hispanic & latino
disabled
asian
native american

Alien Amnesty intends to maintain the victim cult as a super-majority of the voting populace, both in the US and Israel.

Mark Zuckerberg is a victim cultist, as are all israeli-americans.

I'm not sure what you mean with the large increase in supply here. The technology sector is pretty complex, and if you're referring to increasing the supply of workers, that's usually directly aligned with growth in other industries as well. But the point of this article regarding the immigration bill is moot in my view. The technology sector doesn't encourage the growth of illegal immigration. Rather, it encourages legal immigration of very productive new citizens. I see that as a positive thing. I don't care if they're here legally. I don't care that Mark Z built a product some people don't like -- he's employing people, he's providing product/service people want, nothing wrong with it. I'm strange that way maybe.

IT 11.7% unemployment
The 11.7% rate given is only for recent college graduates. Much lower for experienced. That may indicate a national rate as well for recent grads, and I don't know how recent that pub was. It definitely is not that high in this region. And I will admit, the IT arena is a bit sensitive--when specific industries, especially finance, hit a downturn, their IT folks are usually first to go.
