I've fired more rounds of 5.56,.223, and 9mm than the majority of folks on these forums. I've also had more range time and firearms training than most of the peace officers that protect you.
I've been shooting guns since I was 5. Have I been in a shoot out on the street? Nope. But I could point you to some video on YouTube of people who shoot that I've outmatched in competition.
I train to be prepared if I ever have to use my weapon. I hope I never have to, but if I do at least I will be ready.
As I've said before if I ever needed a rifle and I wanted a fast rate of fire and good accuracy to 100 yds with good penetration my AK-47 will be coming with me. The AR is a nice rifle for distance, but in an urban environment I prefer an AK.
when shooting small arms, my preference is 150yds and under to be armed with a drum fed 12 gauge loaded 00Buck, slug, 00Buck throughout drum. 25 round drum.
for a single projectile firing weapon like you described above, training is the only thing that perfects speed and accuracy.
when close to prey, nothing beats 1 1/4 ounces of lead at 1350 foot per second, followed by 9 pellets sized 9mm in diameter in a 30" circle at same speed, followed with another 1 1/4 slug. Concrete block walls are no match; and making doors is a matter of 5 to 8 shots. Door making process takes a thought of need where you want it; and 2 to 3 seconds for the new opening.
PS: above weapon is a gas operated system and uses gas for functionality. Recoil is reduced by half of what it would have been otherwise.
want to talk about gun control....above shotgun is not available to civilians by law.
