Neither do most crime victims, but in close knit communities you hear about it, idiot.

Reader, George has a strong, salient point. I AM from one of those communities where sexual abuse occurred with some priests. It was known within in the community in that "quiet" way. It took a lot of time, effort, and patience for the parishioners, as well as a sensation murder of a nun, to blow the top off the case and force the hand of the diocese. Victims were too traumatized to speak publicly, let alone confront someone they were taught were persons of "trust" and "leadership" and "religious." And yes, I knew a few of the victims, there were always jokes about a few of the priests, but nothing was put together -- no one could put 2 and 2 together -- until evidence and knowledge became public. Or do you believe it's perfectly ok to publicly state "Hey... Fr. Soandso is a molester?" Hearsay and rumor last I heard were unkind, to say the least, normal people have no desire to slander a person's reputation based in slander or hearsay, especially in close knit communities. And Catholic parishes ARE QUITE close knit.

Reader, Duke, Che and Johnson hope and pray that kids are victimized by the Church. That's how much they hate Catholicism.

I am saying that George not knowing is hardly the same thing as there being nothing going on.

There are FAMILIES of abuse where some members continue to absolutely deny that there was any abuse long after victims have spoken up.

OK, George.

I'm done with you here.

That is probably the single most hateful thing you have ever posted here.

I posted the truth and as usual, you can't stand being busted. Ignore away...you'll still read my posts and I won't have to put up with your moronic responses.

I wasn't even talking to DENIAL. In many cases, there was NONE.

It was a matter of 1) the dioceses not doing much due to not have much evidence; 2) working through the bureaucracy of the church; 3) parishioners actively WORKING to get these priests removed; and 4) victims not speaking PUBLICLY--it doesn't mean they were in denial--it means they very likely would working through it privately with family, therapy, and closely trusted others.

Really, if you are a READER, please do read for meaning, not what YOU want to inject into it.

I don't remember telling you what I hope and pray for Paco.

Lately I've been hoping I can improve my breaks and that seems to be working out.

I've also been praying that you'd be gifted with some humanity.

Totally disinterested in a poll relative to the creditability of my faith.
But, my question had to do with a bunch of guff you were spouting that says (loosely interpreted) that liberals hate God and God hates them back. Just curious about whether you are hearing that from clergy in some official capacity, or if that's just your particular spin.
Because in my experience there is no lack of liberalism contained within Houses of God, and many fuel their concern for the poor and excluded by reading scripture. And mosts ministers that I know tend toward liberalism--even if their congregations are more conservative.
get over it lady, your actions have consequences.

Too bad for you.

Jesus said I am the way, the life.

you disregard his words, and spin it as the fault of Jesus.

in your experience you are never held accountable for your actions, and when you die you will be held accountable for them.

you best stock up on burn ointment.

Pope Francis: Schooling Without ‘Religious Values’ Can ‘Lead to Cases Like Nazism’

by Michael W. Chapman

In a 2011 book, Cardinal Jorge Maria Bergoglio, the new Pope Francis, stated that parents have a right to raise their children in accordance with their religious beliefs and that sometimes when the government intervenes to deprive young people of that religious element, it can produce terrible consequences, including “cases like Nazism” whereby many students were indoctrinated with views alien to those espoused their parents.

The book, in Spanish, is entitled Sobre El Cielo Y La Tierra (On Heaven and Earth), by Jorge Bergoglio and Abraham Skorka, the latter an Argentinan rabbi. The book is in interview-style and Skorka asks the cardinal a variety of questions throughout 29 chapters.

In Chapter 18, "Sobre la educacion" (On Education), the future Pope Francis says,“In the Bible, God presents himself as a teacher.‘Yet it was I who taught Ephraim to walk, who took them in my arms,’ it says. A believer is obliged to raise his children. Every man and every woman has a right to educate their children in their religious values.”

“When a government deprives children of this formation, it can lead to cases like Nazism, whereby children were indoctrinated with values opposite to those of their parents. Totalitarianism tends to take over education so it can use the water for its own mill,” said then-Cardinal Bergogolio....

How can an atheist pray, douche? You despise religion with every fiber of your being. And you're as easy to figure out as a five year old.
