Preach your sermon and educate your people, but do try to remember that there are others in the world who don't share your philosophies. You don't get to decide what's good for the rest of us.

Please do we really need one group, deciding the fate of peoples lives? All god's childern are not cared for when they come into the world.Religious people could not even care for all the children not wanted, they cannot to it now. Yea it is not their responiblity, well it should not be up to them to decide who has children, either then.

Yes that is a good one. Sex is nautral whether we want to face it or not. All methods of birth control does fail on accasion, but unwanted births are easier to keep from happening,so with all the uncared for children out there now, would it not be more humane to allow birth control? It is scary just to think,it has to be asked to be humane.

Why do insurance companies pay for viagra and not birth control pills? It should be the other way around.

Does the Catholic church ban the use of viagra?

Keep the state (government, hence, people) separate from religion, it's in the constitution.

I guess God and the church will take care of unplanned pregnancies...give me a break! Our government is pressured by people that don't have sex....hmm I don't think that's natural and God probably wouldn't approve.

Over the past 30 years, it has been more acceptable to have unplanned children and expect the government to care for them while the fathers just walk away...more enforcement in child support and not current practices with ODJFS.

People aren't responsible because our culture says you don't have to be!

Intelligent, educated, progressive and successful women, and men, do not listen to primitive edicts from the homosexual cult which is the disgraced Catholic priesthood.

What a shocker, the leadership of the catholic church wants to continue to oppress womyn. Is anyone really surprised by this? Seems like they are living in the stone age.

It's not in the Constitution. The Constitution simply says there shall be no state established official religion. It does not prohibit the mixing of religion with the affairs of government.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Would be nice if this kind of energy of opposition to groups trying to tell us how to live were directed towards the Tea Party who are right now deciding who gets medical care, who does not, who gets education money, who does not, and the list goes on...

You people have the Senate and the White House. If you can't stop the boogeyman you think the Tea Party is, it's your own fault.

Well stated. The Catholic church has disgraced itself. It laid the foundation for the Holocaust by fostering anti-Semitism over the centuries and indeed cooperated with Hitler during WWII. It then enabled sexual abuse of children by allowing homosexual priests unlimited access to them and attempted a cover-up when it finally came to light. Now they want to tell women what to do with their own bodies? Unbelieveable! Only moronic simpletons listen to the Catholic church and the fact that this story is news is proof that there are one hell of a lot morons out there.
Catholic-bashing. The last respectable and encouraged form of hate and bigotry left in America today.

Be sure to stay away from Catholic hospitals if you harbor such hate.

Yeah, it is ridiculous. I used to be a Catholic until I grew up, went to College and lived life. I began to understand just how base and corrupt the Catholic church really is. The final straw was the revelation of widespread child sexual abuse in the Catholic church. While there had always been rumors, this revealed them to be true. A detective friend of mine laid it out for me. By mandating celibacy and forbidding priests to marry, homosexual pedophiles were given 'cover' in the priessthood, that is no one would view them as 'abnormal' or suspect them because this unnatural condition, which would normally invite suspicion, was mandated by the church and thus 'normal'. This, along with the prospect of unlimited, and unscrutinized, access to children, and as Godlike authority figures no less, attracted droves of homosexual pedophiles into the priesthood to the point where they became its ruling class, the same ruling class of cardinals who covered up the scandal. I thus reached the inevitable conclusion that the Catholic church was rotten to the core. This latest stunt only confirms my conclusion.

I dare you to say the same thing to homosexuals and see how that goes.
