You didn't mention lamb. My first husband was Italian and Easter was always lamb. And other goodies. Or 'alleech.'(spl???). I still refer to anchovies as 'alleech.' I hated that white pizza!

White pizza just is wrong.

I like anchovies in salad more than on pizza

Lol, I did mention lamb.
I don't put anchovies on white pizza! yuk! Some do but not me.

I am not a fan of lamb, although I have tried it a few times. Not my fav.
BTW...was your ex mother in law domineering?
Mine is spinning in her grave as I say, my ex mother in law was a total nightmare and her and her husband were the biggest buttinskies, and my ex never spoke up to defend me. He allowed them to run me over through the years until I exploded. It wasn't a pretty sight.
Example....you know MARIE , Ray Ramano's mother? Everybody loves Raymond?
My ex mother in law was 100 times worse! I kid you not!

LMAO...that bad, huh? No, my in-laws were all very good to me. No sense in trying to boss me, I'm independent like my mother. My mother-in-law taught me all the Italian cooking. Sometimes when they spoke only Italian I would get pissed, but my husband didn't understand a lot of it either. Stunod!(spell?)

My father-in-law laughed at how I pronounced gnoochi.:-) Good memories. He just wasn't 'the one.' I never saw them again once I left him.

Well don't think I didn't speak up....I did. She was just pure evil, period. He was a mama's boy. UGH!

I can understand a certain dialect of Italian....there are so many, depending what village you came from.
My parents and grandparents talked in Italian when they didn't want us to know what they were saying, but AAAAH HA!, I understood. LOLOLOL

That's nothing, rowdy. I saw Andrew go to an African country, and they were celebrating the circumcision of a baby. And the custom was to eat the foreskin from the procedure.....they passed it around....at this point I had to run and puke. I really wasn't expecting that. Talk about barbaric and disgusting! Who thinks of these weird things to do? You have to be demented, twisted, and a loon! Maybe the medicine man had too many herbs that day! LOLOLOL
