DELAWARE, Ohio - A Norfolk Sounthern train has derailed in the northern part of Delaware County.
The accident occurred Tuesday afternoon on the Norfolk Southern track near Horseshoe Road and U.S. 42. Derailment caused damage to both the Norfolk and CSX rail-lines

There are No CSX rail-lines near where the derailment happened. So how did it cause damage to CSX rail-lines?

From some of the photos on the news it looked like there are parallel tracks for.a stretch. I am not familliar with the lines North of.Columbus but south of Columbus CSX and Norfolk Southern tracks are less than a mile apart as they go under I270 but south towards Circleville they are next to each other.

Those parallel tracks are both NS, but just south of the city of Delaware in Delaware county the 2 parallel NS & 1 single CSX track split up. I know that south of Columbus NS & CXS do run parallel near U.S. 23. Also, the derailment was Nowhere near RT 42. in fact it was Northwest of Horseshoe rd. crossing where the MP 26 switches are. Both Ch 10 & CH 6 were saying the derailment was near RT 42. They I think had it inside a triangle of RT 42, Horseshore Rd. & Shortcut. My son & I drove to it yesterday after looking at the derailment photo's & Google/Bing maps of that area. It just wasn't adding up, & they did mention switches which are only at MP 26 & showed 2 large fields. Yeah the guy from Ch 6 was parked on Shortcut Rd. at Horseshoe Rd in his Ch 6 car. We saw the sections of track already to replaced the damaged rails & ties.

The train was heading south to Tenn. Ch 10's photo's, some are looking north, some south, some west & some east. Trying to get the best photo's. Ok, if your looking north, the tracks on your left are heading south & those on your right are heading north. the switches at MP 26 are there to switch the train to the other track if another train is stalled or something wrong with the other track.

Then you have proven that the News on channel 10 and 6 can't tell directions ro read the little.signs on the crossing posts that tell which railroad to contact if the crossing lights or tracks are screwed.up.

Doesn't surprise me they gave wrong info.

This is getting too funny. I had Ch 4 news at 5pm on today & just like Ch 10 & Ch 6 had said, the train derailment was at RT 42 & Horseshoe Rd. & Rt 42 was still closed? lol RT 42 was open & never was closed. The only road that was closed was Horseshoe Rd at the train crossing only. And the map picture showed I think Horseshoe Rd. between RT 42 & the train crossing. They need to wake up & tell the public the truth! The derailment was North (NW) of the Horseshoe Rd crossing where the switches are. My thinking is, they didn't want people with bucket's collecting all that corn/feed that spilled out? I bet if after the EPA is done & the area has gotten back to normal, you'll see alot of deer & other animals & birds eating the spilled corn.

Why are we sending corn to Tenn? I think it's to make moonshine for the all the retired country singers to drink or to make that corn enriched gasoline? lol

That link told it wrong too. Horseshoe Rd was closed between Hudson Rd & the train crossing Not RT 42 & the crossing. We drove up there Wednesday afternoon & drove North on RT 42 & turned left ontoHorseshoe Rd & had to turn left onto Hudson Rd.
