I found two crawling on my fireplace this week. Threw them in while it was burning :)<quoted text>
Be glad they're only on the porch. There's still stragglers in my house from last summer.

There was talk a couple of years ago of Ivory billeds being sighted in Arkansas. Not sure if it was ever confirmed, but just the thought of it is pretty exciting. http://www.birds.cornell.edu/ivory/evidence/s... http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/04/... woof |

This past fall there were so many carcasses in my furnace flue the furnace wouldn't light. Never saw anything like it. woof |

Every spring the flickers have a habit of "drumming" on my aluminum fascia. Talk about a wakeup call! |

Oh, we get at least two in the house every night. I still have the soapy water jar on the porch to drop them in. My husband's four year old granddaughter even catches them with me. But this is the 3rd summer coming up that I can't leave the french doors to the porch open and can't really use the porch. I am so over it. I don't usually kill bugs, but I've been killing them for two years. I think the little buggers are hibernating behind the siding or under the porch carpet. Bastards! |

They're all over the country and have no natural predators. I can't believe they blocked your chimney like that. Yes, I can. I was getting 100 to 200 per day off of my screens. Just don't crush them and they won't smell. There are so many things I should be doing...... |

One thing I have found dead stink bugs good for: If you kill them in soap and water, like I do, and then pour that in the entrace to a ground hog hole...the ground hogs will NOT cross them. My porch is raised and the gorundhogs moved in under it when I moved into the house. That was O.K. till I had dogs. Poured the dead stink bugs in their holes and they left.
