Hopefully track is a little easier to find than the train itself. Cool set regardless! and you got five years' probation.
But you've eaten something from the devil that got you LIFE in a nursing home!

You see, part of the The Stupid Corporation restructuring "plan" was that the Columbus office boss would be elevated to a regional boss over several states. But....now, that the Columbus office is melting down by the second, uh...that promotion doesn't look so sure. ooops.
If they had only been able to keep Betty...

Have you noticed that your posts are starting to be ignored more frequently, pedo? By most people? You've actually succeeded in boring everyone into apathy.
Carry on.

You keep giving us new installments of this saga of corporate ineptitude, which is well-taken.

But I must ask, if corporations which have to meet budgets and show a profit act this inept (and they are), what makes you lefties think that big government, accountable to no one, is any more competent than a corporation is?

I don't think that's necessarily true. I think having years of experience can be beneficial in many industries, provided they also keep up on new skills. Nursing comes to mind. I surely would prefer a nurse with 20 years of experience than one with five.
Let the employer decide what their workers are worth. If that is the case, maybe charge the patient more to have nurses with more experience.

Reading is not your talent.
Anyway, the story I learned in the confessional got more intricate. The Stupid Corporation's original idea was to downsize and reconfigure its product in a few months. They knew they would lose customers, but they wanted that to happen just naturally as the customers figured out that the quality of customer service was going down. Problem was, the Stupid Corporation had contracts with these customers that stipulated certain customer service the Stupid Corporation was supposed to provide...and now couldn't because they fired so many people. So. The strategy was to keep the downsizing a secret, lolololol....because it did constitute a breaking of many contracts. But ooops, one of the remaining employees in the office...let's call her Wilma, let the cat out the bag in an email...she was tired and not fully thinking about ramifications. Well, the crap hit the fan at Corporate in about an hour and then everyone went nuts...so Stupid Corporation's solution to the problem was to tell a bigger lie that yes indeed they would fulfill their customer service contracts with the remaining zombie workers in the Columbus office.
Meanwhile, after Betty quit, one of the people who got fired...let's call her Ethel...gets a call from her old Boss. Boss is BEGGING Ethel to come back to her old job. So, what does Ethel do? She calls Betty...her old friend. lololol. "Hey, Betty...what the hell is going on back at the old office???" So....Betty talks to Ethel a long long long time. And, guess what? For some reason or another, Boss can't even get Ethel to come back.
Meanwhile, in various other calls among present and former grunts...all agree...the Columbus office is going to go down the crapper. And none of them give a sh!t.
So, you didn't say this was in the confessional. Isn't it like seriously wrong to break the secrecy of the confessional?

Some priest you are!

And as for the ethical drama...spew. I hear this kind of drama quite a bit and generally ignore or don't discuss publicly. Some people thrive on the drama, I don't.

Clearly, you are correct about government. Then again, isn't what passes for government today nothing more than a vassal of the largest corporations?

So. Betty tells me tonight that she got a call from Ethel. Ethel, who was fired and then begged to come back, has two prospective competitor companies headhunting her...both look solid...and so she has told the old Boss that she'll get back with him. Well, maybe. lol.

Well, yeah. But, in every legal system there is a legal remedy...so the priest goes to confession, and then it's all okay again. As for drama, "Corporations are people too."

I know not of the location you allude to, but wonder how you know of the place. Come on now...are you telling me that you have inappropriate dreams of becoming a prostate concierge? Topix could be your confessional.

No. Alzheimers? But then, you are the one who names himself "tip". Easy observation is that you have a "specific" issue.

My comments on YOUR subject typically are that I really don't care what people do with their tips, but, in general, my beef with the tippers is that they are so often shallow and narcissistic. In that hyper me-ism, a lot of the rich ones are usually Republican...and then the non-Republicans tippers don't care that a lot of their "brethren" are Republican because they're just all about themselves and their little tips and all.

Kind of. I'm stuck at the keyboard now for a stretch editing a fricking book. Seven more chapters to go, and I'm done.

Betty writes. She says that her new smart boss is paying for her to go to classes for the first two weeks to obtain a license in their industry she never had time or money to throw at it. So, she figures if they run their course with each other some years from now, she'll be even better set to be head-hunted.

Government has made the cost of having employees so expensive that we are turning into a society of piece workers, independent contractors and $10 an hour wage slaves.

True. The nature of the industry involved in this story is that it is one of the few major areas where people still have options on both sides, but for some reason...power infects people on top so much, they shoot themselves with their own stupidity. So. We can't have that equal playing field be a wide experience. Hence, minimum wage it what it is...and that isn't an issue for just the minimum wage bracket, but its power to set the wage in higher brackets that are only slightly higher...i.e. your $9-$10 per hour bracket.

I have a sermon rant against liberal social service managers on $9-$10. But, you've seen that one before. Should a preacher do golden oldies?
