That's a little harsh. The article doesn't say why he was in jail or any thing about his personal life, etc. Point is you just wrote the dude off without any facts.

Try again folks ; no way is this suicide. Sheet is to long and once tied, to thick to stay around spigot ; nor would he have strangled succesfuly in such a short period of time. It would be to slow and induce panic thus ending the attempt. Unless you are witholding info like the sink is 8ft off the ground or he was full of seditive at the time, this needs an investigation.

There should be a law banning idiots from using the words To, Too, Loss, Lost and Lose until they can prove they know when they are appropriate.

Are you kidding me? This guy is so protected up here by our fabulas judicial system its unreal. i live here in town and instead of turning this guy over to family the day that they caught him red handed, they protect him. As far as this guy goes the way the system works was prob innocent but this was only way out.

As someone who has a loved one in law enforcement, my only response to you is....YOU'RE A MORON! Stop posting before you hurt yourself!!!
Someone who loves american law enforcement is not capable of love. Their "love" is like "love" in a bar, "love" of hitler or love like a homosexual.

They would have transferred him to Lucasville with all the extreme violent offenders. You can be assured he will enjoy his stay at that facility.

I was thinking the same thing. He could be in there for outstanding traffic tickets or some other misdemeanor charge. My condolences to his family.

It blows my mind the people that post and have no idea what they are talking about. Facts are this he was checked on at head count 7:08-7:18 pm and found 25 minutes later. He was not on suicide watch so what do people expect.

I know Mr. Dickie and do feel bad for his family and hope them the best in there time of need. But it was a decision he made not the staff at the jail.

Everyone wants personal service but don't want to pay for it. The county has cut the budget below what is the safety level of the Sheriff Office.

The suicide watches require someone to watch them at all times where are these extra body's gonna come from. The commissioners cut the budget and the Sheriff Department are the ones who look bad because we have to keep trying to provide the same service with less.

Bottom line is no one wants to do anything until after something happens and then it is a finger pointing game. That's ok keep cutting the budget and we will be like our surrounding counties of Perry and Fairfield then when you call there would be a good chance no one is available to come.

Why would someone kill themsleves in jail , he maybe would have gotten out soon . I bet he had a family waiting for him at home , then when they heard this news they probably started bawling their eyes out , BIG TIME ! Buut , What did he even do too get put in jail really ? If he commited suicide then it might have been of some bad choice he made , that got him ended up in jail . I feel terribly bad for him and now his family . R.I.P Torin S. Dickie , see you someday soon .(:

Matthew Hoffman is a human being too, but that gives them no excuse. So long, good-bye!

POS was in jail for a reason....therefore, one less dead beat, loser for our tax dollars to pay for. Murder, suicide...who cares...should happen more to all the losers in jail sucking the tax payors dry!
