The fire department is less than 150 yards away and it still took 6 minutes.

Is it a volunteer Fire Department, or a fully-staffed one?

Coalton is volunteer, however, it probably would not have mattered due to the fact there were no working smoke detectors.

What a sad story. God Bless the family and friends of these two people.

No smoke detector, no seatbelt, no helmet; some types of stories are just the same old idiocy over and over again.

Blame it on casinos, everything else is. Sore loosers.
Planning on placing some sick wager on this in some way? How off topic can you get? People died and you are trying to use it to make some other point?
If you lose in the casino like you are apprently losing in life, we will all be commenting on the story of your suicide.

My thoughts are with the family of the folks who lost their lives in this fire.

I am greatful to see most people care about the
Kimbleton's. For Phyllis's son Larry , is the grandfather of my grandson. I know this family and they are good people. We all are sadden of the loss
of Phyllis and Raymond. You know they allways smiled and enjoyed life. Greet you or a stranger with open arms. Fun loven people. I am thankfull that their son or hopefully none of the other family members see the negative respone that I have found here. May God shine his light upon all who suffer the loss of a loved one...even you Big Johnson May God shine upon you.

Did these folks have private fire care? No? Then they deserve to die. I don't want my tax dollars paying for other people's care. I work hard for my money. I don't support socialism. This is just socialism for fire care.

NO MORE TAXES FOR BIG FIRE!!!!!!

I got told about this thread "Ray From Maple" no one deserves to die and that is my grandmother n step-grandfather. If their landlord would of fixed the damn repairs this would of happened. Everyone in Coalton knew that their landlord is a ruthless piece of shit. He knew that their furnace was not working n they needed new smoke detectors. Also instead of repairing the windows with real glass he used plexiglass. They could not bust it open because plexiglass is unbreakable. The sheriff even tried to bust it but would not break. Furthermore asshole would u say someone like this about ur family or friends no so have some damn respect for the loss of our loved ones because sweetie karam is a bitch n comes in 10folds so i would watch what u say. Thank u miss Barbara Lynn n yes ur right they were very welcoming to everyone n they would do anything for anyone.

I put batteries in my smoke detectors myself, and pay for annual furnace and air conditioning checkup.

why did you not fix grandma and grandpa's smoke detectors and furnace?

excuses are a telling sign of failure.

Their landlord wouldnt let anyone fix anything because he wouldnt be the one getting paid. He knew all of his properties needed work. Right after what happened to my grandparents house he went n fixed every property he had n told my family he didnt know anything was wrong with the house. But EVERYONE IN COALTON KNEW ALL ABOUT THE PROBLEMS. If we could of helped fix the problems we would of but if we did anything he had to have the approval but no he said he would get to it when he can.

all excuses....all BS

laziness on display.

batteries in a smoke detector is a 6 moth ritual played in homes across the globe.

failure to change batteries is on display with lame excuses from Obama voters.
