I watched that show "Sister Wives" a couple of times when it first came on and was astounded when the husband was revolted by the idea of a woman having multiple husbands. He said it was unnatural for a woman to have sex with more than one man at a time, but somehow it is natural and acceptable for him to have multiple wives. To each their own and far be it for me to dictate how anyone should live their life, but I think those women are nuts.
I also watched that show. On one show some people were asking questions. It was the wives who came back to a question about multiple husbands by saying "who would want more than one husband?"

I think I saw that too. My ex-boyfriend's mom said the reason she never married is because she didn't want to be anyone's mother and that's essentially what she equated being a wife to...lol.

Oh, that's not true any more.

Mary or partner with a modern, proper man and they take care of themselves wonderfully. These newer models are perfectly brilliant.

Equitable division of labor, ftw.

I will say that a lot of men my age can cook and are pretty self-sufficient. That wasn't very true back in her day. Helps if they've been in the military too - tends to give guys a sense of pride in being neat and clean. Equitable division of labor is excellent.

That is a down side. Marry orphans or at ones who's mothers are dead.

You're entitled to your opinion, but not your own facts.
Orientation is not choice, dearheart, hence it is not "preference".

"Self sufficient" ?

Can you rebuild a transmission? Lay a roof? Install a sewer system?

Sure, like you are going to fix the transmission in the car while he makes a roast for dinner.

I can do both ... but then, I'm gay. I don't have to follow inherently sexist stereotypes.

Heh, mine doesn't even drive. Bless his little face, keep meaning to get the time to teach him. Helluva cook, though.

I don't believe orientation is a choice, but there are people who can prefer one thing over another. A bisexual may prefer one sex to another.

I can do anything I put my mind to doing. Having female genitalia doesn't limit my abilities to do any of those things.

My ex did make an awesome roast. My favorite thing he made though was salsa. And I fixed the plumbing in our bathroom. Go figure.

Do I want to? I can't play for the WNBA either. I suck at basketball. And football.

So...even if you put your mind to it, you couldn't do it.

Correct, but because bi-people can choose, does not make it a sexual "preference" for hetero or gay people.

We duck the word "preference" for very real political reasons.
