Full story: Columbus Dispatch

It wasn't long ago that William Loftin found himself inside an Akron coffee shop armed with a cigarette lighter shaped like a gun.

My name is Mae Hughes, I am the founder of 2nd Chances 4 Felons. I started this company because I found it so hard to find help when looking for a way to succeed despite my crimInal convictionS. I decided that someone had to do something to ease the struggles that felons are facing when they have decided to turn things around. I am the best candidate because I know firsthand that this is a difficult thing to do. I have put all I have into making this company a success and will not rest until this journey is made easier for you. I would like to welcome you to the 2nd Chances 4 Felons family. Your success is our main goal. We are dedicated to each and every one of our clients and will go the extra mile to provide you with information needed to succeed despite your conviction(S).

It's a worthy cause if it's successful. Employers did not implement background checks simply because a person has a felony. Working with felons and welfare recipients, my struggles were not finding them work (good work). I was faced with the fact that they would not go to work. They would work a few days and call off or go in late and then after a few months, when they qualified for the next welfare program, they would drop off of the face of the earth.

I wish you the best of luck and hope that you find your work rewarding.

I thought conviction and sentencing, jail/ prison time ,probation, and fines were all consequences. How much should you pay? How are you supposed to become a normal functioning member of society if you have to pay for a crime after you already did your time, probation, payed your fines for the rest of your life???? Btw some felonies are just bull.

I guess all of you criminal parasite sh^tstains want us to un-realize the hundreds of prior crimes you vermin commit BEFORE you get busted for the one that leads to conviction. AND we should forget all of the crime charges dropped or plea-bargained away.

Here's the offer: all of you criminal parasites can have Detroit.

No word re LaDue retreat, but the CrAkron Rat Pack's been quiet & scarce of late. With them, no news is good news, altho it's sometimes like the quiet before yesterday's storms... which, when they hit, we'll learn about 5 days later in the Urinal.

On Arlington at 5th Ave. They had every sort of character on a property next to mine. One person couldn't reach the peak for painting the eaves, the ladder was to short so the moron leaned over the peak painting up side down from the roof.
