Sickening! My solution to the Mexican "invasion": declare war on Mexico since they have invaded our country, make it the 51st state.
The perks: more tax revenue to the feds, no more illegal problem, nice beach front property and vacation spot, no safe-haven for American companies wanting to screw over American workers.

Suggestion: How about deporting the illegals "before" they are arrested for a crime,(just for the crime of being in the country illegally, which is a crime). Therefore, saving a "victim" and tons of money.

Why not put a big tattoo on the foreheads of these creeps so we know immediately that they are interlopers?

If it were not possible to make money, people would not enter our country by breaking our laws. The American businessperson holds a fairly sizable responsibility in curtailing illegal immigration.

If they truely come to work and live in peace they need to do it the right way.
I'm also puzzled, they say they can't make a living in their country, but come up with 2,500 to be smuggled in. That's a lot of money in a poor country, they could feed their family for a long time.

"The general focus is on the bad guys, the ones that are committing crimes while here illegally," said Vipal J. Patel, district criminal chief for the U.S. attorney's office.

Is it really a shock that someone who thought nothing of breaking American laws of immigration - perhaps even felt he/she was above such laws - would continue a lifestyle where disregard for humanity, selfishness, dishonesty, and a false sense of entitlement would continue to be the primary factors of that person's character?

Of course they return. Once they cross the border, no one will stop them and ask questions, until a crime is committed.

They COULDN'T be 6th graders! They dropped out in the 3rd grade! What's funny (actually, sad) is they voted for the Law & Order crowd who have made our prisons bulging with nonviolent offenders, and who are now poised to cut funding for the very same prisons. You never see any fat-cat business owner or builder around here getting prosecuted for hiring these people, either! Nor do you hear these 3rd graders outing their friends who hire them, but the immigrant gets ALL their wrath and blame!

Nice that you mention the "perks" without mentioning the detriments.

Would you buy the crack house next door and allow the crack heads access to your house?

What makes you think that the "51st State of Mexico" would IMPROVE the quality of American citizens?

No, we don't want to "annex" millions of poor, corrupt illiterates - they would only destroy what's left of our country.

An impenetrable fence and strong border security is the ONLY answer to our "crack house" neighbor to the south.

I work for a company that services the new home contruction industry here in C-bus.

This is often what happens when I walk into an under-construction house:

There look to be about 5-6 Mexicans working out of an old van finishing up insulation and starting drywall - I can tell that somebody has been cooking food in the garage.

When I walk into the house, one of them sees me and vanishes into the family room, 3 or 4 of them leave the family room through the garage entry and get in the van. One comes inside the foyer to watch me and the other keeps working. I just nod to the one watching, he nods back, and I do my inspect and leave.(As soon as I leave the others will go back to work.)

In my experience it goes like this: there is only one English speaker, and probably only one or two "legals" in the crew. They are one of several crews, often family members, who are hired by one guy contracting with one of the builder's subcontractors (this insulates the builder from any immigration questions or legal responsibilities), who takes a big chunk of the workers' earnings in turn for letting them work for him.

The same organization (foreman or farm boss thing) happens with the Koreans, except that most of them are legal. The Koreans tend to do more intricate, time intensive labor across several trades, and the Mexicans do most of the grunt-type construction work.

This happens all over, in all good-size cities. Those of you who live and work in smaller cities may understand the problem, but probably don't grasp the size of it...

As far as I can tell, there is never any enforcement of immigration law, never even any questions asked by anyone.

The only time you hear of "raids" or any inspections, are with factory employees. Factory situations where illegals are employed are a very small percentage of the illegals working. I venture that most illegals are employed in construction and restaurant/hospitality and itinerate farm-work - although in the south, I have read that a lot of them are employed in the trucking industry.

Ruben Castilla Herrera states he is an activist with Ohio Action Circle a grassroots coalition. He failed to mention he is the Ohio Director for Reform Immigration For America, which is funded by the TIDES Foundation/George Soros.

I will be calling Rep. Pat Tiberi's office today to thank him and to let him know he has support for taking a stand on the illegal immigration problem.

We need our borders secured, our current immigration laws enforced, and E-verify made mandatory. No Amnesty - Not Again - Not Ever!
