Jim Gilbert, president of the local Fraternal Order of Police, Capital City Lodge No. 9, confirmed to the paper that a group of about 20 officers were among the winners.

$50,000 will be a nice Christmas Bonus.

Now they can afford cable internet maybe they will watch porn at home instead of on the tax payer funded laptop in the cruisers.

Only good pig is a roasted one not a union one.

wow really?

60k a year and health pension isnt good enough?

i hope "support your local police" was a joke name...

but i do gotta say... anyone seen the youtube video of the cop giving shoes to the homeless guy?

THAT is what protecting and serving is all about.

i really think the last way to "show support" is to tell us all how they put 2 dollars in and got 60k out of a LOTTERY that supports the kids "education" , when less than 100 years, IN THIS STATE, those VERY SAME OFFICERS would have been CHASING the people putting on the lottery and CONFISCATING THEIR STUFF.

oh, what a world.

hey somebody had to win.

i just thought perhaps, someone out there in topix land, might like to think about the actual facts regarding this statement instead of "lovem/hatem" nonsense.

i mean... the point holds weight. 100 years ago, they would have took it all. today, theyre broke, wasting money, and its legal, they get a free years cash.

woulda been better to a homeless person , imo, but hey, they dont have that kinda expendable income right?:/

hahaha

i was waiting for the pictures.

get over yourselves.

you wanna talk? TALK.

my opinion is based on straight facts. i even left you room to go into something silly about the hundred years ago statement.

i love it when people who cant even make an arguemnt use the empty lightbulb.

keep the yahoo picture statements for the people talking silly. if you wanna talk to me, say it.:D

and, for the record, what did i say that was "spam"?

learn the emotes. lol

what part did you have a problem with there? "somebody had to win" ? thats me saying i care less if it was a cop, teacher, or anyone else with the money to burn.

was it the facts you couldnt argue?!

or perhaps it was my statement that "a homeless person would have been a better choice"? again, going back to INCOME.

seriously man. keep the spam, nuts and crap for people talking silly stuff like dude talking pigs.

i was giving a thoughtful discussion of something that, imo, was an INCEDIARY COMMENT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! lol

and just one more before i go since im OBVIOUSLY not gonna get a lick of debate other than nonsense at this juncture...

if the original poster, "support your police" is foreal, shame on them. this is an incediary statement as so many people do not make what cops do, etc, and what has happened in the past regarding gambling and law enforcement.

my statement about "check out the youtube video", that is how you "support your local police". there are still great officers out there and they should be respected, admired, and thats why i said anything about that video.

but in a nation where they make more than alot of people working alot of different jobs, when 50k is more than alot of people make in several years, and they have problems either with the law in general or with the increasing feeling of "lawlessness" around them, the entirity of the original statement as a whole is incidiary.

lovem hatem, jealousy and caring has nothing to do with any of it. it has to do with common sense before you post and realizing wth you are talking about before you talk.

put a spam on that for me. i dont use those lowly things.

eh, youre wasting youre time spook.

any forum that would repeatedly want to mark me as insane, whaever, is obviously for boughts, by boughts. yea, see what i did, its like bot, but bought...:D

like i said, yall check out that cop that gave the homeless dude shoes on his own dime. THAT is what its all about. THAT is why i say the TRUTH i say, yet say , look closely, some are doing the job as it was and should always be.

the posters here are just ppl who are obviously on the "right" side of the law with the "wrong" moralities. justice at its finest in 2012. shameless

I had sex with a powdered doughnut once. Since my johnson is so small, I was able to spin the doughnut around and around like a hula hoop.
