And they never bring friends home?
They don't have friends who are homosexual, Reader.
Acquaintances, perhaps; but, not friends.

That was sort of the old school thinking.
As there has been more support for the notion that some people are just gay, there are fewer kids willing to play that kind of games with family.

Why must you continually imply that the aberrant sexual practices you approve have pervaded everything and everyone in society?
Does it make you feel better about yourself?
I thought that cross-dressing was pretty widely accepted as being a part of Skull and Bones.

But, I think calling it a sexual practice might be pushing things a bit.

Well, Bob, getting into some pretty personal territory, but just exactly how far are you willing to go in order to demonstrate respect for your own parents? Would you forego marriage? Forgo the person of your dreams? Lead a double life?

I can't deny that there are those who have, but where do you personally draw the line?

And how much are you willing to require of your own children in the name of respect?

Cross-dressing as a college prank and cross-dressing as a dedicated lifestyle are two very different actions, which you well know.

You're still pretending that aberrant behaviors are normal.

All humans are in need of repentance.
However, I wasn't speaking of Pope Francis.
Bless him for taking the Truth to those in need.

Your problem is that you refuse to see that need.

You were responding to drag performers--not quite in either of your categories.

With regard to Skull and Bones, I have no idea what theirs is about, but most accounts of the secret society include references to sexual practices of some type included in the initiation ceremonies. And membership (and secrecy) are pretty much considered lifelong, not just college pranks.

But with regard to performance art, males performing as women have a long history--including the common practice in Shakespearean times.

The way I grew up, your father and mother are the ones who tell you what to do. What right do the children have to impose their petty demands on their parents. Who gave children the idea that they have the right to demand anything from their parents, especially when it comes to bringing their friend in sodomy over to meet the family.

Like Tip, that wouldn't be a problem around here, but this whole notion that everybody has to accept society's trash in their homes and just put a big happy smile on their faces when doing so is about as crazy as it gets.

My sister-in-law's sister has a gay friend from grad school. He and his "partner" were both seated at the same table with us at the baptism of her kid.

Nice guys, but watching the look on my dad's face when it was explained to him who/what this spectacle in front of him was, was comedy gold.
