You are turning dyslexia into a 'disability?' Do I have that straight?

I must inform my employer, who has a doctorate, as he and two of his sons have dyslexia. And both sons have degrees and their own companies. We sure don't consider it a disability. Challenge at times, maybe. But that's life. Overcoming challenges.

So, you twist my stepson into some kind of loser, part time father. Did it ever occur to you that he is in the military and has to be in VA for that reason? That perhaps his family is prohibited from joining him at his location?

LOL, you and reader and che. I don't know which one works harder at twisting my words. But you fail all the time.

Probably. Of course, my job performance is over the moon every year also and I am a 24 X 7 'essential.' And I work for a private, not municipal, employer.

Dyslexia IS a qualified disability. Disabilities are often overcome, as you have noted above.

Now, this is what you said:

"'They' paid in around $2800. in federal withholding and go a check from IRS for $7300."

A single person who is head of household with one dependent working full-time at minimum wage would get a little less than half of the figure you quoted, as I noted above.

"He's a good father and she is a good mother, but it's a lose/lose if they get married, don't get the 'free stuff' and that big EIC credit on her 1040."

Either don't blab your family's business on Topix, or blab it and expect to be called on it. Either way, it's up to you.

Now, this is what you said: "And neither parent has a full time, cushy municipal job where they can sit on their xxx and bait people on topix all day like you do."
You were the one who mentioned neither parent has a full time job. Or did you only mean cushy? "

You are Reader. You cadence is exactly the same and your uncontrollable need to twist words to suit yourself is unmistakable. You, che, tran, duke and pale have a unrestrainable need to answer every post made. Whether you have anything of substance to say or not.
The above was referencing YOU having a municipal job and being on topix all day. Had nothing to with the parents in discussion.
So you, again, twist it to say that I said neither parent had a full time job.
Why would I say that when they both work full time?
Take your little band of trolls and say whatever you want to or about me. I know myself, and I could care less about your opinion.
Just like your fruitcake thread about George stalking you, sending you pizza and a magazine subscription. Both which could have easily been traced and reported. Thread disappeared overnight.
Worthless meanderings of a woman with an otherwise unoccupied life.

And speaking of spinning, you said that she wanted to wait to get married until they were 'solidly employed'. The military IS solid employment and even has health insurance.

And I didn't realize that the military was considered non-governmental:

You don't know the tax code. You're not a CPA.
And neither parent has a full time, cushy municipal job where they can sit on their ass and bait people on topix all day like you do.
Do you have any idea what the employment opportunities have been since 2008 for non-governmental workers? No, you don't.
Better watch out, reader. That public paid pension you've been (sort of) working towards all these years may not be there for you afterall. Take a look at California.

Frankly, SL it is very difficult to carry on meaningful discussion with you because whenever you are confronted with inaccuracies you dig in your heels and then load on a lot of unrelated arguments.
You are not obliged to, so simply don't try.

We've moved on to Benghazi and you'll have nothing to add there.

So, I believe I'm all caught up here.

Do you have any idea how many private jobs there are in VA Beach and Norfolk that are defense related, and non-military? No. You don't.

Bye. Knock yourself out. Reader.

Apparently he's not in the military, as you further detail below. So I'm not quite sure what the point of suggesting he is could be. If eligible, this line of work could quite handily help provide for his daughter.

You're the one who earlier attributed her difficulties to finding work. Again, while we would all love to pretend with you that you're employed, the ever changing goal posts, your age and the fact that you're posting from an AOL connection while 'at work' suggests that this isn't going to be an easy issue to play pretend with. I do agree however that many people with dyslexia do quite well for themselves.

He's entirely capable of getting a job which while unpleasant, could keep his family out of poverty.(Unless he has a good job and simply isn't paying enough in to support his family, which would be rather horrible) To continue to suggest that people who take "entitlements" who aren't your family are draining honest taxpayers maliciously seems rather poorly thought out.

Making excuses that they don't have the options that exist seems to be deliberately overlooking the the truth of the matter. Your son lives separate from his daughter, is not married to her mother, is unable or unwilling to provide meaningfully for them and shows, by your own narrative, to have no desire to resolve these issues.

Funny you should say that. Over a year ago my step-daughter went to Planned Parenthood for birth control. Two weeks later she got a call that she was eligable for a 'free cellphone and 1500 minutes per month, federally funded.'
Hell yes, she took it. So she has her cellphone, her boyfriend has his, and they carry what they call the 'government phone' for calls they don't want eating up their shared Verizon minutes. What a country!

LMAO What is my age?

No one in the course of their employment can sign onto their home account? No one who works has their private laptop with them at work? No private office uses AOL? And you have these cold hard facts from what reference? Everyone that works is chained to the facility and does not ever travel by car, airplane or work from home?

I never said he was in the military. I never said he was in a defense related job. Lots of things I never said you 'assume.'

God you work hard to twist. FYI These are adults. I have no say in their decisions. They do not live in poverty, nor are they on easy street. I wasn't either at their age.

And in the last few news days, now that I know the Boston bombers collected over $100,000. in entitlements, I encourage all Americans to 'go for the gold.'

Read the post, idiot. When she went there, and NOT for an abortion, she had no idea she would get an Obamaphone. My post which you dredged up from who knows how many months ago, clearly states that.

SL--you throw out all kinds of deceptive details and irrelevant situations and then accuse others of "twisting" what you say because they take it all at face value.

And for the record, the $100,000 figure covered a 10 year span. Hence,$10,000/year. One of them was married with a kid for a portion of that time, One of them WAS a kid for MOST of that time. Both spent a good bit of time going to school.

I would suggest a refocus on what they REALLY did that was wrong, which was to blow up a bunch of people with plans for more and leave the gratuitous welfare-hating out of it.
