Same reason the now disbanded village New Rome did. Same reason Lithopolis, Baltimore, Carroll, Millersport, and Pleasantville have them.
Revenue and Control as well as lack of balls to just put up toll boths.

What happened did you get stopped and given a toll bill ( aka ticket)

Remember just a few years ago, Harrisburg police were banned from citing speeders along 62? It wasn't even in their jurisdiction, but they were issuing tickets. The village lost a major source of cash when the court ruled against them,LMAO.

Don't break the law you won't get a ticket. I haven't had a moving violation in 32 years, nor a parking ticket in 29. I was through New Rome dozens of times and never was pulled over, even when the cop was sitting right at the city limit sign. Same with Lithopolis, Millersport, Brice, Valleyview, and Lockbourne.

Harry Ass Burg as its called is filled with thieves. If you move there better have alarms on your house and cars. They would steal Christ off the cross and go back for the nails. Not a good place to live.

It's the same cops too that go from one podunk village to another. Case in point is former Valleyview chief is now chief in Millersport. Must be sad not to have any more ambition than that......

What does the speed limit in South Dakota have to do with Harrisburg, OH?
What's the speed limit in Montana? That might help how fast I drive in Columbus.

If you've ever gone up I-71 into Cleveland, there's a little village that has roughly 1/4 mile stretch of the interstate within their jurisdiction. It's between the W-130th exit and Brooklyn limits. A well known speed trap.

Maybe if you knew that Wall Drug actually exists and is in South Dakota (in the village of Wall, just off I-90) you'd understand what the phuque I was talking about.

Its also 75mph on Rt 40 in New Mexico, but a new freeway in Texas has a speed limit of 85mph. Right in the middle of wild hog territory, already with a bunch of accidents. Yeeeehaw!

I don't patronize any store that has the word "wal(l)" in it. I also travel to the Caribbean, NYC, etc. as opposed to South Dakota. Not a stupid beitch, spoiled beitch is more accurate.

Your fascination with me continues to be disturbing. There really needs to be more mental health resources available; you are the poster child.

No silly, it's the Wall Drug in South Dakota; apparently you can drive 75 mph to make sure you get yours before Kemosahbe and BJ take their road trip to empty the shelves.
