Full story: Columbus Parent

It's no surprise that a turbulent stock market is making some investors wary of putting any more money into financial plans.

They should bail out and self-direct their own investments.

My wife and I have sold our Bond funds. Bond funds have done well as bond rates fell to historic lows. But now they appear to have bottomed and we believe over the next ten years the rates are likely to move higher and that our bond funds will decline significantly. So for now we are on the side and have watched rates rise.

As to stocks, I think the fed has created a tremendous bubble with their quantitative easing. Deliberately so. We are long general equities but will exit if we see the trend roll over. Particularly if the fed stops creating all that Money or Credit and the market is rolling. Then it's only going to be the dedicated buy and holders that hold all the way down.

Hmmm. All of those investment axioms and text book strategies went out the window when the Fed started rigging the markets for political reasons in 2009. Anybody who is holding on to Bernanke's hand while Bernanke'sother is jagging off obama should lose everything. Rig the market and allow a sh^tstain like obama the illusion of prosperity? Yeah, hold that jaggov's dick, will ya.

Yeah, sounds like some "experts" haven't learned a thing. When the market tanks this time it will be a total sheiiit storm. I'm impressed that the markets haven't called the fed's bluff yet, possibly waiting for the little guy to get sucked in for a feast.
I don't think anyone can tell me a scenario where this ends well. Interests rates MUST rise and when they do even a little. Tripe will roll exponentially. If you want to play the stock market casino go ahead but don't call it an investment. It's a gamble. It you get out before the shnieke hits you could call yourself a winner. But...o wait. The currency destroyed. We all loose.

Try this on: the tax donkeys bray one final time just before small businesses decide not to withhold taxes on their remaining employees. Then, Uncle Sugar defaults then collapses and civil war breaks out. The banksters are skinned alive. The Fed is bankrupted and naked Leviathan staggers and craters. Kissinger's observation of too many people chasing too few resources is balanced out once 150 million Godless parasites have been sent over for the Great Surprise of God's loving embrace.

My 401(k) is in my safe. When I go to sleep, I have X amount of dollars in it. When I wake up, I still have the same X amount of dollars in it. Sure, I don't make anything but I also don't lose anything. It's safe from stock market crashes, airplane crashes, and all forms of natural disasters ranging from fire to asteroid impact.
