Not juvenile at all. She wants to assert some sort of intellectual superiority over me and when she does I simply remind her of her 3d grade vocabulary. I bet you even know what "anecdotal" means.

No. In other words 96% of Americans do not believe it is the number 1 top priority. But 96% could think it was the number 2 priority or the number 10 priority. Why is that so hard to understand?
that laser focus the President said he had on job creation requires batteries.

as soon as he said it, the batteries on the laser went dead.

Not true. I "rode in here" wondering if people were able to have a conversation based on real facts or whether they always lived in a world of their own where they allowed themselves to change fundamental truths if those truths didn't fit their agenda. I found out that it's the latter.

Moynihan's quote was right. "You are entitled to your own opinion, you are not entitled to your own facts."

That laser focus on jobs..........

why has it been over a year since the Obama appointed officials to build a landscape for employment growth in the country has not met?

Me thinks the laser has changed aim to many agenda's that have nothing to do with jobs.

me thinks laser never was ever aimed at jobs.

all you living in New Jersey requiring assistance to re-build your home and life, it is not a great feeling that only union labor will provide the service?

what should cost $20 billion now cost $51 billion.

Happy New Year.

As it pertains to this discussion, the Second Amendment, part and parcel of the U.S. Constitution, was ratified in 1791. When we speak of the Second Amendment, we speak of Constitutional rights -- not Bill of Rights' rights.
But, hey...do you want me to bow to your specificity?
The same kind you want to apply to the Second Amendment...where it does NOT exist.
Every amendment is part of constitutional rights, your own citing of the Bill of Rights preamble spells that out.

If you're going to insist this non-existent copyright only applies to the latest passed amendment, then you need to change it to 1992.

To sum up, the U.S. Constitution (the document you cited) was ratified in 1788, not 1791.

QED, case effing closed. You lose. No matter how much you say otherwise, you lose.

Thanks for playing.

I never implied that the copyright date of 1791 applied to the latest passed amendment; I clearly stated it applied to the ratification date of the Second Amendment, which is the topic of this thread.

The Constitution, as originally ratified in 1789, is not the topic.

And yet you wrote The U.S. Constitution copyright 1791.

Repeat, the U.S. Constitution was ratified in 1788 and TOOK EFFECT in 1789.

I'm done, you've proven you are a complete nutcase and have at best a patchy understanding of U.S. history. Your mind is like a steel trap; everything that gets into it gets mangled.

Yes, I wrote the U.S. Constitution, 1791...because it was in that year that the Second Amendment became part and parcel of the U.S. Constitution.

Not 1788.
Not 1789.
Not 1790 [when Rhode Island ratified the Constitution].

But in 1791.
