Our government could have prevented the bombing years ago by not allowing immigrants from "certain ethnic backgrounds" to enter this country!
How many more children have to die before our government realizes that while not all Muslims are open terrorist, nearly all terrorists are Muslims.

We need to end the refugee program that has brought so many terrorist into our nation.

I heard a crack from a Croatian guy I know that the borders of the United States stopped at the boundaries of his parents' subdivision lot. Once you crossed over into their yard, for all intents and purposes you were in Croatia. That is very similar to the way things were in my parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles' homes. One reason why I have no shame pointing out the stupidities of American culture.

Wrong. My people hate both Jews and Muslims (traditionally speaking, that is).

I'm just commenting on what people come to America for: Levis, iPhones, tacky suburban homes, SUV's and big screen TV's.

The stuff they taught you in elementary school about political and religious freedom is mostly a bunch of crap. They are here because they like consumer goods, just as almost everybody else in the world does.

Nikita Khrushchev (Khrush = Pear; Family was into pear farming maybe?) hit the nail on the head:

When Khrushcev encountered Governor Nelson Rockefeller in New York City in 1959, Rockefeller neddled him by saying that half a million Russians had emigrated to New York at the turn of the century seeking freedom and opportunity. "Don't give me that stuff," Khrushcev replied. "They only came to get higher wages. I was almost one of them. I gave very serious consideration to coming."

That's pretty much what I was saying. The government needs to stop unbridled immigration and round up those already here and deport them.

In fact, I wouldn't even say that my people hate the Jews. They just think they're crooks and are indifferent to their plight.

If anything, it's the Muslims we hate and far more than you people do ... except when it comes to the Egyptians, Libyans, Syrians, Lebanese and the Palestinians. I think we tend to like them.

Ummm...higher wages and "stuff" are the direct results of freedom and opportunity, Bob. You and Nikita missed the entire point.

So all you're saying is that you're selective about the terrorists you embrace.

No, you miss the point. They didn't study de Tocqueville to make a reasoned decision to uproot their families and come here. They don't care about political philosophy -- they want money and stuff.

That is 99% of anybody who comes here.

Still missing the point.
"Money and stuff" is not available without guaranteed personal freedoms; further, it is useless without them.

My perception... let's frisk glitter because we know we won't find anything and our numbers will look good for amount of people stopped/screened. Heaven forbid we offend someone that may actually be a terrorist threat and accused it is because of the clothes they wear.
Yes, profile Muslim males, especially young men with jihad websites that beat women and want to live under Sharia. It is a disgrace that the FBI knew about these young men and did nothing for fear of liberals.

BS. Property rights and limited government are indeed why this country prospers. Political, religious and economic freedom? Not so much except as they relate to those property rights.

If you are educated and have it made, you can live perfectly well in any part of the world regardless of politics. From what I saw, my extended family members in many respects live better where my parents come from than we do.

Of course the issue here is that there are more of those positions here than there are over there.

Point is still that for the average law-abiding citizen, you can live a good life in Russia (pre and post communist) or just about any other place. You might have a smaller car and living quarters and not have as much stuff as we have here, but you can still live well.

In fact, my grandfather became the local land baron where he came from thanks to wages earned from Bethlehem Steel. Hell, my extended family members (a teacher, an engineer and a lawyer) don't live so shabby in Brazil, either.

That's what the vast majority of muzzies come here for. Not to set off bombs in public places.

As to the first part, correct, Singapore tells us that.

As to the latter, violence seems to be far higher in Islam than in others, most Muslims who come to the West end up resenting it. In some cases the resentment is valid, but in most cases its not.
