Anything King J Rock does for us will carry a high price with extra ropes to tie teachers hands.

Good. The teachers SHOULD be held accountable. Lincoln County has one of the lowest literacy rates in the state. Someone needs to make sure these teachers are doing the job they are hired to do. |

I think anyone in education deserves much more than what they are getting. I can't imagine having to work with teenagers today!

I agree teachers have a really hard job and we should be thankful for them.

in my opinion all teachers need to be tested at the end of each year on what they know as well as the students, and any teacher who don't pass that test at a certain percentage should be made to go to summer school
it is ridiculous just how little some of these people know that are teaching our kids in school but i do agree that teachers need better pay for their jobs. they also deserve better healthcare and benefits and i didn't say ALL.. so don't even start raggin me because i said teachers are stupid etc.. i am only sayin that SOME of them don't know their @ss from a hole in the ground and you KNOW its true |

I worked many different jobs getting my teaching degree. A good teacher has the hardest job in the world. You don't understand the paperwork from the government to be compleated on EACH child taught. Not counting lesson plan, actual teaching, grading papers, and staying up at night worrying about a neglected student. The reason that we lose good teachers is simply...pay. They expect teachers to live on minimum wage. Testing teachers is not the answer. They have to pass the National Teachers Exam before they get a degree. Its about eight hours long. The second most stressful job in America was Teaching, right behind Air Traffic Controller. Try to teach your own child something that they don't want to learn, then multiply that by thirty. Then that by seven classes. Until teaching becomes a genuine "Profession",like doctors, lawyers, etc; our education will continue to decline. But I do agree that any non-teaching, or perverted personell need to be eliminated from children very quickly! Remember...teachers are people too.
