The Occupy Huntington movement has been protesting the direction of the country, but now they're planning to shut down because organizers don't like the direction of the protest.

"We've had some difficulties keeping the protest a protest," Marshall student Ethan Young said.
Click here to find out more!

Young is one of the movement’s organizers. He says their message was fractured because people who initially came out for the protest were turned off by others who joined later on.

Young says homeless and mentally ill people joined in at their camp because they've got no place else to turn.

"They see us as a safe place to stay," he said.

Young says some were doing drugs and even making makeshift weapons, and that's why the Occupy Huntington movement has to move.

"Because of the problems of mental illness that are not being addressed by the system, as they should be, we as non-professionals cannot begin to address these problems," Young said.

Young says they'll now focus their efforts on creating community centers and food banks that will hopefully help create some of the change they’ve been calling for.

However, despite organizers' call to end the physical movement in front of the Chase Bank on 5th Avenue where they've been for the past five weeks, and despite the cold weather, some protestors say they're not going anywhere.

Protest all you want, but by setting up tents, and shitting up public sidewalks, you are loitering and should be fined or taken to jail. You do not have the right to camp on public sidewalks.
