Yes it is a socialite's vanity project. This woman has nothing but time and money on her hands. I bet she has tight security wherever she roams in the city. Who needs her to point out the blight and the fact that it used to be different. Even Detroit is not going backwards fast enough to preserve the architecture of the Packard plant, which has the fire department out a few times a day for minor arson fires. What Detroit needs is a magic wand to destroy all the old buildings and send the criminals to mars.
