So basically this generous man died because someone wasn't watching their 7 year old child. So sad. I don't know the exact situation because it doesn't say, but how is it that a 7 year old is playing near a construction site? Was he unsupervised? I am assuming yes. Don't parents care about their children and when that young, can get hurt or killed?

The dead man took the place of those parents.

The last time I saw Mr. Townsend was a week before he died at my school. The mom had the 7 year old watching the 3 year old??? After investigating the exact circumstances the mother should posibly be liable for neglect or something. I am sick and tired of some parents leaving the raising of their kids to the streets. Recieve your well earned reward, Garret. I heard your funeral blessed many people.

Very sad indeed.

To the family of Mr. Townsend I send my sincere condolences. You must feel very proud that he risked and lost his life for the life of a child.

I hope the hope of the resurrection will sustain you in your grief. He is no doubt in our Creator's memory. John 5:28, 29, Acts 24:15
