Teen charged with extortion following Facebook hack

A 16-year-old boy accused of hacking into the Facebook and MySpace accounts of two college students will face an extortion charge in juvenile court, state police said Tuesday.

Fortunately for the victims in this case, the Oregon State Police followed this through and eventually got a confession from the hacker. The WSU police (who this was also reported to last May) did not.
One of the victims even gave the WSU police the name and phone number of the then-suspect.(the person who eventually confessed)
