I don't think this college will be around much longer.

I just want to say that VI is a great school and I am very upset about the financial problems at the school. I truly pray that VI will continue to be solvent and last long into the future.

I just happened upon this story way over a year later. As I write this, they only have until December to get their financial situation in better order or they lose accreditation. Doesn't look good for them right now.

They blew it when they chose not to be affiliated with UVA, now you got UVA-Wise. UVA will buy the joint when VI eventually folds.

I know it's got lots of great history, but it's becoming a joke and a partial eyesore. They need cash that they don't have.

I did not know that they chose not to be affiliated with UVA. If they made a bad decision like that, they need to reconsider and try to develop an affiliation with UVA. Hopefully they will get the money they need somehow. May God help them.

As much as the tuition is you would think that the main building and dorm rooms would be up to code. I dont see how they are not closed by the fire department. I think it is a great school but they are in need of serious upkeep on the buildings.
