As the White House continues its push to gain public support for stronger gun laws, Vice President Joe Biden today took his case to Richmond, Va., where he consulted a handful of experts and public officials about how to reduce gun violence in America.

I have watched many inaugurations over the years but this most recent one was a real eyeopener. I have never seen such an open display of armed security as was televised on Monday. Six to eight SS guards per lino. A pick-up truck full of additional armed security. Our elected leadership is not pushing gun control in the name of victims of insane shooters. Hey Pattie, if an elected government official carrys a gun with a permit and has body guards that also carry guns, why would that official introduce legislation to prevent a citizen from owning and carrying a firearm, especially when they can not afford a body guard ? Is it ok for a Senator to write laws that exempt themselves from that law ?
