"The site, used as a burial ground from about 1750 to 1816, has been a parking lot since the 1970s. It was purchased by VCU in 2008."

"The exact location of the burial ground is unclear, and it might have been disturbed years ago with the construction of Interstate 95 and other changes to the land, according to state archaeologists and the Richmond Slave Trail Commission."

If nobody knows where the bodies might be, why did the state just waste $3.3 million ?????

You are really bothered about this, aren't you?

Take xanax and a valium, have a nightcap and tell your daughter to rub your feet. It'll be okay. Why can't you be happy that the state gave the city a parking lot to maintain and surely no additional funds to do anything with it?

Gov. Bob saw this transaction as a job creation..:)

You are one sick individual.

Yes, the waste of $3.3 MILLION does bother me.

Just what "job creation" are you talking about. No one has received any employment from this ludicrous "transaction"!

Obviously, you are a fan of liars and fools like Sod el Amin Green and his racist buddy King Salami.

As I said, you are one sick individual.

I think its fitting, forgotton under highway lot made into african-american heritage site, which will probably become a forgotton about run-down heritage site in about 6 years.

Taz, do you need a Kleenex?

The job creation is when they dig up the parking lot, put a little plaque in the middle honouring Gov. McDonnell for recognizing the oppressed in the center of the city.

Not a fan of the guy that you're so familiar with; never gave him any thought really. Did he at the least give you a reach around? He is way up your butt , scorned lover?

Ok general jerk-off I will type real slow and use small words, just for you, as you have a reading comprehension problem.

There is no job creation. The crew removing the parking lot was DONATED. That means free. NO NEW JOBS CREATED!

Let me type that again, NO NEW JOBS CREATED!

Did you get it that time?

Just a waste of $3.3 million.

If you go in a store and the price says, "$3.3 million" but when you get to the register, you never pull a dime out of your pocket, how did you waste $3.3 million?

How about saying what you really mean..." Assessing something at $3.3 million and then to give it away to recognize a few, long and forgotten, blacks wasn't worth it."

And what does typing really slow accomplish? The letters show up together, once you enter the numbers and press send. What a fricking idiot!

Then again, you're exactly right. It was a waste of $3.3 million dollars for a group of people, more than likely some kin to you, to not do enough research in regards to the planning and execution of where they wanted a parking lot to be.

Last time that I checked, when something is donated, it doesn't mean that noone paid for it; just not the person that is reaping the benefits of it. Job creation!

So, how much is 2.5 acres of ass-fault worth? Surely, it can be recycled and then whoever is donating the work, lmao, is getting a slew of ass-fault for a pretty decent price.

"Recycled Ass-Fault" coming to a closed bid project near you.

As I have said time and time again, " Intelligent people have opinions about one or two subjects."

Let's look at the job creation, tearing it up, scooping it, dump trucks, crushing it, reheating it and spreading it to figure how much tar, if any, will need to be added to bring it within regulation for use. Then the low bids that will save the city a few bucks.

Of course, I'm clueless, wrong and nuts, reality could have been avoided but you just had to keep going on and on with why your peeps couldn't get away with a bad decision that costs the taxpayers $3.3 million, only 2 years ago. Was this your Ass-Fault idea?

Yes, you are "clueless, wrong and nuts" as you finally admitted. That makes you as dumb as your number one fan soldiergirl/human and her boyfriend nothead.

Unlike you, I don’t have any “peeps”, whatever you define them as. The decision was made and approved by the governor and the idiots in the legislature to fund this stupidity.

There are no new jobs created by this colossal waste of money as existing crews are doing the work and the city is not being charged for it. Sadly, you are just too dumb to understand it.

But then, you did admit you are, as you said, "clueless, wrong and nuts”, and nobody is arguing with you about that.

LOL Go figure.

You just happen to be too damn dumb. I like that you avoided the premise of future use, it shows exactly why you're employed by the union (fed, state or city)....you need all the help that you can get..

Really getting tired of you welfare workers. Find a company that makes it own the merits of it's own accord and not on the backs of the people!!!!

Ok, one more time for idiots like general jerk-off.

There was no job creation, period. Neither now or in the future is there anticipated job creation except by this idiot. The current work has been donated and the future maintenance will be done by existing city employees.

Public service employees are not welfare jobs. Protecting and serving the public even includes the idiots and morons like jerk-off. They just make the job harder with their stupidity and immature attitude about everything.

Taz, private jizzum is so full of crap, her eyes are brown. She hasn't a clue about anything of substance. All she can do is rant and spew stupid things that make no sense to anyone other than her. If she was any dumber, she would be growing on the north sides of stones.

Public service/social service, it doesn't benefit all people just a selected group of "i'm too stupid to make a living without leeching off of the real citizens that work and earn a living."

The lot was donated from McDonnell to the city of Richmond. The work was not donated. Did you go to see whom was tearing it up? Damn sure isn't a city worker.

I understand your need to protect and serve taz's azzhole but that doesn't change the fact the city doesn't cut it's own grass.

Bids are given to private contractors. The city doesn't demolish anything; Bids, bids, bids.

Public Servants aren't doing anyone a favor, jackass; they take my money and give it to you, jackass. The same way that they do it through social services. If it wasn't for the police, there would be a lot less people in jail. And crime wouldn't be roaring out of control. Over 400 million firearms are in the U.S and I know atleast 25 people that wouldn't mind being on a possee.

Police forces are less than 1/4 th of a percent of a city's population. Now, go catch a bullet or something so that I can have something good to read about in the news.

The land was "donated" by the Commonwealth. The work to remove the asphalt was donated by one company and 2 different trucking companies haul it away at no cost to the city.

Again, no jobs were created. You are just too stupid to understand.

Without public service employees, idiots like you would be out running around shooting people that are smarter than they are.(And that is just about EVERYONE)

Like I said," Feds, States and Cities are just businesses created for people that can't make it in the private sector!" What kind of business stays in business that can't turn a profit? A government.

Keeping on eating scraps from people's tables with real jobs that actually produce. You fricking welfare recipient.

Welfare: a type of financial or other aid to help people in need. ie government employees..no way to provide for themselves.

They will probably take them to be recycled at an EXISTING facility. Again, no jobs created.

As I said before, you are just too stupid to understand.

And I doubt you have run around shooting people. Your lies just get stupider with each and every post.
