Now that the state has wasted $3 Million on this alleged burial ground, let's just see how many graves there actually are under the asphalt.

I doubt there are even any bones left to prove Sod el-amin Green's lies. Will he advocate digging up route 95 next?

Just another waste of taxpayer’s money!

I'm with you Taz,people have made such a big deal over this lot,I say they should dig it up and see if there's really anything down there.I have my doubts that there is,but I'd like to see this little story resolved one way or the other.

Whatever was once there has long since been washed away in the many, many floods that washed through the area. The riverbanks should be the sacred grounds, and they are already protected against development. I was against this expensive endeavor from the beginning, but as long as the wimps in office have once again fallen to what they believe is political correctness, I hope it (whatever "it" is supposed to be)is successful, and many people go down there and look at the grass.

Question though, did the State, City, or Federal Government supposedly bury these folks there way back then? If the answer is no, then why are our taxes paying for it?

I'm not sure, but there is a possibility.Included in who was buried there was Gabriel, who led the attempted slave rebellion and others that participated in it.the gallows and a jail were nearby at the time.at any rate,we're going WAY back. That lot was used as a cemetery from the mid to late 1700's to somewhere around 1816.It's been filled in a couple of times, once in the 1800's to build the old Richmond Iron Works and then again in the 1950's to build Interstate 95.There's probably 10 to 20 feet of fill on top of the original lot. It's widely believed that the majority of the lot,the gallows site, etc rests beneath the interstate. From the best estimates,if the old lot overlaps the present day parking lot it's only by 30 to 50 feet. The City of Richmond official report is available online,as well as old maps and drawings if you search for it.

Did they really pay anything for the lot? Have to remember that they shorted the school a whole helluva lot more towards their budget, so unless you donated your private funds to the school, that three million never exchanged hands...Let's call it a tax break for the commonwealth from the commonwealth.

The only thing attracted to you is three other men; what does that say about you? Greg, Sammy and Jeff K.

Luckily Jonhston had sense enough to throw the towel in or General Sherman would have marched into Virginia. It's not like North Carolina was resisting. They didn't even really want to be a part of the south by overwhelming vote.

They thought that VA and SC would hold animosity against them and destroy too much of their beloved tarheel state. Funny how people are a part of a rebellion, 150 years later that most of their ancestors didn't want to have anything to do with. Like people from West Virginia claiming to be a part of Dixie? LOL.

Those inbreds is what allowed the Union Army to get directly in the middle of what was known as the confederacy. No wonder Virginians have such animosity and sickly toned jokes against the hillbillies. LMAO .......

Taz, the south shall rise again and it will be from another northerner's boot kicking you in the ass, if ya'll decide to try that crap again!!!!

Being the idiot that you are, you are just too stupid to see that the South has risen and it out produces the North by far.

When was the last time you heard of a company moving North, or retirees moving North?

They don't, but again, you are just too stupid to see that.

It's not mysterious. One of them reported it for whatever reason.

That's how they play. One of them must have been offended by the reality of being properly labeled.

"The site, used as a burial ground from about 1750 to 1816, has been a parking lot since the 1970s. It was purchased by VCU in 2008.

The exact location of the burial ground is unclear, and it might have been disturbed years ago with the construction of Interstate 95 and other changes to the land, according to state archaeologists and the Richmond Slave Trail Commission."

In other words, Sod el-Amin Green and King Salami lied about it being the burial site for slaves in their spews.

NOBODY, I repeat, NOBODY knows if there ever were or still are any bodies under the parking lot.

Where were these two idiots back in 1970 when it was turned into a parking lot?

The state just wasted $3.3 million on nothing.

In the 70's Saad El Amin was a rabble -rouser lawyer named Jeroid Greene. He gave a talk at George Wythe High school and refered to white people as"white devils"..just to give you some idea of who we're dealing with here.He later joined the Malcolm x generation and shed his"slave name".
If you look at the official report from the City of Richmond on page 14 you'll see a map,and it clearly indicates that IF the old burial ground overlaps the parking lot,it's probably only by 30 feet.10 yards.Big deal, right?
The old lot was covered by 10 to 12 feet of fill back in the mid 1800's to build the old Richmond Iron Works on.It was covered with an additional 8 to 10 feet of fill when I95 was built. The lot and the old gallows site is most certainly under 95 today.
El Amin and King Salami are sad examples of a day gone by.Slavery is an albatross around their necks, always dragging them back to the past and never allowing them to move past what we had nothing to do with and can never change.I feel sorry for them actually, that they can never recover from themselves and their fixation on the color of their own skin. The only way they can remain relevant in todays world is to constantly bring this up and make a big deal out of nothing.

If all that you say is true, wouldn't the confederacy be an albatross around the necks of white southerners? The real question is who is going to let go first.

I really liked your posts but it should have addressed both sides at the same time and it would have killed two losses with one pen.

Being that noone in the Union a.k.a U.S.A a.k.a the government was around during the confederate riot which is the biggest riot in America history. It couldn't be considered a war because it was prohibited by the constitution. What if the descendents of the Watts' riots wanted a day or two for Watts being burned, would that make any more sense than the confederate sons getting a month?

Not saying that you're a part of that group, just want your input.

Sod el Amin Green was NEVER relevant and has always been a liar.

King Salami hitched his wagon to a dead horse (Sod el Amin Green). No matter how hard you beat it, it will not get up and pull the wagon. King Salami is just too warped by his own racism to see that. Both idiots need the other to make them feel important.
