Holdout law schools to accept military recruiters

Aug 14, 2011 Full story: Salon 7

For Vermont Law School, the price of standing on principle was $500,000. That's how much school officials estimate they lost in federal money every year for refusing to allow military recruiters on campus because of their opposition to the Pentagon's policy on gays in the uniformed services.

Couldn't the school charge the military recruiters $500,000 per year in rent for a table and a basement office? I mean, just for ten or 15 years or so.

It seems only fair.

The military has lost even more - probably lives, too - from not being able to recruit for officers from educated populace while being forced to accept convicted felons and persons with IQ's less than 70 due to lack of recruits. It has only itself to blame for delaying so long.

The question is, what will happen to integration of the US military by sexual orientation should Ms. Bachmann or one of her ilk become president.

DON'T blame the military for DADT. That was Democrat Clinton's brilliant idea and policy. Democrat Clinton COULD have siply issued a military order, as Commander-In-Chief, before he came up with his DADT idea, that there be NO discrimination based on sexual orientation in the military whatsoever.

Blame Democrat Clinotn.

Democrats are EVIL people.

Congress passed a bill with an absolute ban on homosexuals in the military in 1993. It's just terrible that Clinton over-rode the absolute ban with DADT. After all, you would have been much happier with the absolute ban than with a policy that was supposed to allow gays serve.

Hey Fred/Frank/Daniel-

Still waiting for you to admit you were wrong about DADT being repealed.

Or are you STILL claiming that the repeal will never come up for a vote in the US Senate because Obama order Reid not to allow a vote?

Or are you STILL claiming that the repeal will never pass in the Senate?

Or are you STILL claiming that the President won't sign the repeal legislation?

Or are you STILL claiming that the President & SecDef & CJCS won't certify the repeal?

C'mon Fred/Frank/Daniel, time to man up and admit you were WRONG WRONG WRONG once again.

You're asking for miracles. After all, a weenie by any other name is still a weenie.

I know, but it's important to remind everyone of the previous asinine claims from Fred/Frank/Daniel.
