I can see how this would work. I didn't have sex until I was 25, which I think is pretty dang good, all things considered. I decided a good five years ago to never drink alcohol again, and I haven't had a drop since. I never struggled with drinking but I was so impressed by my nondrinking friends that I wanted to be more like them. I think pledges really can work.

Most girls I know between 13 and 15 are having sex almost every day! The way things are going, I doubt that there will really be any virgins left on their wedding nights.

That's cuz your in white trash Washington. Seriously - I bet you hang out with some serious low-lifes if everyone you know is having sex at 13 or so. Go to church and see if it's true there. Most teens don't act like skanks.

This is your friends, most certainly not typical. I am familiar with your area, it is extremely liberal. I drive a hummer and once got things thrown at my car in a suburb of Seattle.

Affairs happen even in church. When I was 16, a huge scandal broke in the church I was attending - and it was Pentecostal. The song leader was a 50+ year old man, married and had a daughter; all of whom attended. It was discovered that he was having an affair with another married woman in the church and it lasted over two years before it was discovered.

I will say that there is a lesser chance of having affairs by church going folks unless the religion itself condones such behavior - and some do.
