On the contrary. Climate change (and AGW) is very much front and center in Obama's plans. He is not TALKING about it, but the drive to research and implement 'energy independence' and make more green energy resources available and utilized is and parcel of 'job creation'. And the side effect is to reduce emissions.

Now, Mitt Romney will indeed ignore climate change. He will reduce taxes on his buddies while increasing subsidies and lead the country into a slide in both jobs and prosperity in the name of right wing ideology. WHile he is a moderate, the fact is that he would be dealing with a 'tea party' republican congress and have to follow the right wing agenda.

Too bad but I think Romney will win. The fact is that he will win on trivial issues such as the requirement to provide birth control pills, etc. Not on the major issues that really matter.

Pity. And Canada needs to step up it's game and start trading with the EU and China much more than it does. Forget XL, the US won't need oil for a while. Double the capacity of the existing pipeline to Vancouver and increase lead monitoring to satisfy the safety concerns. This will be the best strategy until the US gets back to reality.

When the money elects a President or could it be the press? The greater the BS story elects the President or the usual sheeplebots.
