"Harris Zafar, national spokesperson of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, does not mince words on the subject, stating in a Huffington Post opinion piece that 'Islam prescribes absolutely no punishment for apostasy.'
Chapter two of the Holy Quran emphatically denies this possibility, stating 'there shall be no compulsion in religion,' writes Zafar.'This is an unambiguous declaration protecting freedom of conscience and choice.'"
Yet many in islam are killed for apostasy under shar'ia.

Hence,this explains the usefulness of the many contradictions in islam.
They always have something to fall back on.
So now they can all stand there and claim innocence.

Bear in mind that the Quran also abrogates itself numerous times through out. The early suras are peaceful and tolerant with the latter being Violent and brutal. The So called Prophet stated to follow the later writings.
