There Just a Aina t Noa Wrong Or Right Way To Talk

One of my neighbors says she is amazed I can write as well as I do given how sloppy I sometimes talk, saying, "Ain't got no," "them dogs" or using verbs like "fixing" and "holler." You can blame this, perhaps, on a blending of cultures.

It sounds to me like you talk just fine. I think Dock Boggs sums it up in a video I have of him. He explains how people see his banjo playing. He says and I will try and quote, "somes peoples likes it and somes peoples don't". To me that is perfect English if you were raise in Wise. As for his banjo playing, wish I could play as good as him.

So the next time someone says anything about how you speak, just say, "somes peoples likes it and somes peoples don't".
