The system that is in place anytime is already there and it's called a police department. If more people supported them by giving information a lot of problems would go away very quickly. Too often people cover for their criminal family and friends by keeping quiet. Well, too bad. You can't have it both ways. The huge illegal drug industry in this place proves that.

I feel so sorry for this family. Anyone who knows anything regarding this case should come forward and tell the police. You can’t expect the police to ‘do their job’ if everyone shuts up and won’t say a word. The police cannot magically find leads. They are only human, too. Allow this family to find their missing child. Phone in tips anonymously. Tell what you know so that this family might know where Sage Smith is.

The thing that needs to be in place is where to find the resources necessary to execute a plan quickly when something of this nature happens. But the only way to solve missing persons’ cases is that the people who know things must speak up, no matter how small the information is, no matter who might be implicated, no matter the fear, the truth is the only way to find them. Help this family.

They stay quite because of the fear of reprisals if they rat out the criminals. Police won't do anything for fear, just plain fear.

"Find the resources"????? Just empty words. This so called initiative is no substitute for a thing called common sense---as the disingenuous Harrington campaign shows. Those who carelessly or knowingly put themselves in the crosshairs of life seem to have families that want to do everything BUT tell the truth as to why the tragedy happened.

Do not hitch hike, especially when you are slobbering drunk.
Do not hang out at the railroad station, bus terminal or dark alleys.
Travel with a group and let people know in advance where you will be, etc.,etc.

That is the INITIATIVE and RESOURCES most of us learn by the first or second grade.

Live vicariously at your own risk and don't expect tears on your behalf when stupidity gets you what Darwinism has given to the careless since time began.

Thank you for your honesty but that does not mean my family should not try and find out what happened our Loved one. If you chose not to assist that is your personal choice but be careful with your "honesty" there is a difference when you come across cruel. I would hope your loved ones wouldnt take that approach or way of thinking if something happened to you.

Sage, just like the rest of us, was a normal human being. He did something everyday people do. He walked down the street. He was abducted and sadly has not been found. The truth is, Sage lived a secretive life style. The same one that MANY bi-sexual, transgender, gay and lesbian people live. They have very secretive lifestyles sometimes, and they often keep a lot of information like where they are going and with who to themselves. That does not make him any less of a person. That just means that this case may be a little harder to solve. I do not understand why Sage's other room mate hasn't been questioned. Yes, Sage had another room mate. The police are doing the best they can, the people who know bits and pieces of information, should take time to come forward and say EVERYTHING they know. This group is a wonderful idea. I just hope,(yes, I still have HOPE) that Sage will come home safe.
