Three years in the pokey for this ex-cop...and three years in the pokey for the Culpeper ex-cop who shot a woman to death.

So this malady doesn't just affect catholic priests? It is more widespread than you think, look, cops, school teachers, sheriffs. When will it end?

I think this is a societal problem, and is a result of our loosening social mores...

As the world gets smaller and information is becomes easier to obtain, it's more likely that we'll see a true representation of what it is and what it was, not what it has become. Recognizing it is a good first step, stigmatizing it, and making it a taboo is another.

I agree that it is a societal problem, but I don't agree it's because of loosening of our social mores. In fact, I would argue that we've become more stringent about our mores. 50 years ago a marriage between a 14 year old and a 25 year old wasn't unheard of, and 100 years ago is was relatively common. Technology has made the world smaller, and with the ease of finding this material coupled with the population expansion, tautening of laws and vigorous enforcement it appears worse, when in fact, it's just become less acceptable.

Underage marriage is not the only form of child porn. Your argument doesn't hold water.

Because 29News hates the county cops. He was more recently a Albemarle County Reserve Deputy, but NBC 29 doesn't have an axe to grind with Sheriff Harding. He was a cop well over a decade ago and has had almost no connection to the department, but that won't keep NBC29 from doing to the ACPD what Long apparently did to those poor kids.

The headline is a joke and shows NBC29 is after sensationalism to have it read that. How about what his current profession is? Hmmm? Way to undermine the mostly hardworking, selfless cops in the area. Shame on 29! If your gonna pick one job he held why not the most recent? He was weeded out years ago from LE.

Unlike the impostor, I can find no excuse, nor reasonable blame for anyone breaking the law. Loosening Social mores is a catch-all for those who want to continue, and see that others continue to live in the past.

The antebellum purity demands of a long gone era has no place in todays progressive society. Living in the past is so yesterday.

With progress being no excuse, nor reason for breaking the law, some have to learn the hard way .
