This is a very interesting story line. Several years ago, a man named Meeks was charged with similar offense of election fraud for basically the same reasons and nothing was done. Then a few years later, a man named Craig did the same thing and even admitted in the news that he lived outside of the area where he was runnning for office. The Commonwealth Attorney and the state election Officials would not even pursue charges for that
one. So, what did this man do differently or what
political group wanted him cherged with the
election fraud. And, why was he not treated like
the others and just ignored.

Want to hear some cool trivia? On Halfaday's website ( halfadaystrong.com ) when he was running for office, there is a guest book entry saying: "Hey cousin. This is your cousin Louis from Michigan. I admire you, etc., etc...." It is signed Louis J. Halfaday, Jr., Michigan. Try Googling that one: you will find that Louis is a registered sex offender in the state of Michigan, and it is not for such a minor offense!
This guy is the gift that keeps on giving!

NBC 29 tries so hard to limit their pseudo crime stories to the one sentence or so police press release. A convicted sex offender on the city council would no doubt please those who want true diversity---and Cville deserves nothing less.

"Halfaday will remain in jail until his probation can be transferred to Illinois, where he has family to help him."

I don't think there is enough "help" in all of Illinois for Halfaday, much less just from family. I do wish them luck, though. Better that he is in Illinois than here where NBC29 can find a reason to keep running that pathetic picture.

He should be sent to Illinois but not to his parent's house, he needs to be in jail there. But I'm all for letting IL foot the bill for this slime bucket

He might have a case of discrimination if he picks the right lawyer.

All disgraceful. Should be ashamed and remove themselves from politics, instead are continuing to believe they are proud political "leaders" deserving an elected office. Arrogance, pure and simple. Do they believe they are the only qualified candidates?

Add George Huguely with murder and combine them all, then what do you have? Ted Kennedy, another proud leader deserving an elected office.

RIP Ronald Reagan
