I have a hard time understanding why people are still so naive and clueless. WHY would you EVER leave valuables in your car? WHY would you ever leave your car unlocked--especially all night? That is just crazy. I learned decades ago to lock my car whenever I leave it, and keep my house locked at all times, whether I home or away. Really, people. Try to be intelligent.

Clueless and naive people still love to give money to the sex offenders and felons that beg money on Freebridge, which is a stone's throw away from where these break ins have been occurring.

There are lots of new faces adorning Freebridge during the daylight hours. Charlottesville has a wonderful reputation with the backpack wearing mobile beggars that are dodging the police back in their own hometowns and states.

They are known to be easy targets in cville that's why there is so much crime there. Grown men hide behind their wives in this town! Not many native Virginians left here!

It's tough to call them "Car Break-Ins" with a straight face if the cars were left unlocked.

So if they had locked the doors would the bandits have just broken the windows? Too much noise? Sounds like passive crooks who get what they can with no real effort. Who keeps their doors unlocked anyway? Republicans on a guilt trip?

More likely bum loving libocrats that feel they can save the world from itself---if they can just spend enough of the public tax revenue to make their socialist paradise happen.

Next time tell us the streets where the crimes occurred.

Anybody that leaves their car or house unlocked deserves whatever their arrogant behavior gets them.

Crooks are lazy. They will always take the path of opportunity and least resistance. Hmm... locked door or unlocked door. Don't feel like getting their hands dirty... Unlocked door it is.

But, if something they perceive is of high value is left plainly visible and they want it enough, they'll make the effort. Especially if it results in them getting more money from it.

That's one heck of an arrogant thing to say. Your mamma must be proud.

Leave your car unlocked for a car full of booby traps!! That might teach them a lesson!
