Another nod to Davis' polling strength
Sabato's Crystal Ball at the University of Virginia Center for Politics has revised the Kansas gubernatorial rating for 2014 from "Safe Republican" to "Likely Republican," based on polling suggesting Gov. Sam Brownback might be vulnerable to Democratic challenger Paul Davis , who is the House minority leader.

I have been and continue to be horrified bythe damage states with one igislative body including the governorship can do to the people that try and make their homes an livings in these states, most particularly red states because they seem to have little regard for poor and middle class citizens, for example cutting back on the SNAP program without a robust economy and not expanding medicaid when they could have easily have done so to the vast benefit of their citizens. Call it simplistic but this is what i believe makes a strong country and conversly a strong state; healthy educated citizens with an environment created collectively between state and federal governments to attract good jobs for the healthy well educated citizens who then use their money to buy stuff and pay taxes, educate their kids and save for retirement. This is what I think makes the merry go round go around and around...
