I don't blame you citizens, represented by this trash, for wanting him removed from office. This is the proper way to go about it instead of threats against his life. Sooner or later he will step down. If he has any dignity left, he will abide by the wishes of his District and do the right thing. Scottsville's Town Council has done a noble job in its attempt to see the right thing happen. Mr. Dumler, listen to you District, step down and lets move on.

I really do not think he will ever step down,,but then again now any council member or politician for that matter can do what he has done and still hold office,,,

"The Scottsville Town Council discussed Tuesday night whether to take a stand in the debate about Albemarle County Supervisor Chris Dumler's political future."

Sentence 1 about says it all....if they are still trying to figure out whether or not to take a stand...really months into this mess? I have serious doubts that any action would amount more than pissing and paddling in it!

Let's hope Mr. Dumler does have some dignity left and does the right thing for Scottsville residents and steps down soon!

Good Job Amy Vu! I am happy with the councils decision to ask for a change in the current law concerning our elected officials. I agree on the disappointment from their not taking a stand on Chris Dumler. The excuse given was they still had to work with him and wanted to leave the door open with him. It really hurts to see leaders sitting on a fence because their afraid they'll lose that seat in the next election. Also hiding behind the premise of "it's really none of our business" is a cope out and should make all Scottsville residents wonder just how much spine these folks have in dealing with issues concerning the well being of the town. There is nothing wrong at saying either your for Dumler stepping down or supporting him staying. My father told me once "sit on the fence too long, you'll get splinters in your butt". Make decision! Praise the right ones, apologize for the wrong ones. Just make a decision, that's what your there for!

"Sit on the fence too long, you'll get splinters in your butt." Brilliant quote from your father!

Like in the old days, take him down to the tracks and put him on the next freight train.

It will carry him.....somewhere else. Problem solved.

I hope all of you NEVER make a mistake. I bet all of you claim to be Christians. Where's the forgiveness, hypocrites? Don't even answer that, it will be some lame, meaningless answer.

I give no quarter and expect no quarter!!! I see you have a NC in your location so take some of the tar from your heel and seal your mouth! He is an elected official and now a convicted sex offender by his own admission! We as residents of this district have every right to say how we feel, don't like it, move away or stop posting!

Forgiveness doesn't mean he then gets to keep his job.

Here we go ... Always has to be ONE. All lovey & forgiving -- bet she comes at me with the claws out if I say anything against THE ONE. Seriously sweet pea, if you think he's so wonderful (prancing around with that scarf around his neck like a big ol' GIRL), then we'll ship him on down to YOU, how's THAT grab ya? See how you like having him around YOUR wives & daughters, how 'bout? He is a SEX OFFENDER. This is NOT the type of person you want in public office. I like to see leaders with higher moral standards -- they serve as examples!

Democrat School Board Member (Albemarle County) Eric Strucko and School Board Member Jason Buyaki have asked Chris Dumler to resign. Strucko may be the first Democrat elected official to ask him to resign.

Is it possible to impeach him? It seems to me that whenever a president has an affair with an intern, he is impeached. When a representative of the people commits a violent act against anyone, he or she should be impeached. Dumler must step down. Albemarle County must act.

Anyone residing in Scottsville will recognize who wrote this. It is from his one and only friend.
