WTG CPD for getting this thug and thug "wannabe" of the street. The "wannabe" will probably give up the 3rd thug.

If the guy had only parked a little closer to uva, he would have been in a gun free zone and none of this would have happened!

I was pregnant with my son and we lived on Highland Ave, was late and my husband and I had just pulled up to the house, was about to get out and he told me to sit in the car and lock the door.. there were 2 pl walking down the hill, he watched them in the mirrors, they had split up one to my side and one to the drivers side.. My husband got out with his gun drawn as they got to our car and he told them to go on about their business.. They said they thought we were someone else... yeah right.. had he not had his firearm, who knows what would have happened.. I support the 2nd Ammendment..We all need to protect ourselves..

Wait a minute... isn't it illegal for a convicted felon to be in possession of a firearm?

I thought laws were supposed to prevent this sort of thing from happening!

Well, if that law isn't going to protect us, then I guess we should all stay in Gun Free Zones as was stated above. Then we'll be safe.

Maybe the victim should have tried talking to them and convincing them to put the gun down and leave him alone. That should work every time.

except for the fact that Kaheem is Muslim.. None of you guys know what really happened that night and the news and newspapers are misleading. Unless you know either of the parties involved you should not comment or say anything demeaning. If you knew anything about these men and what happened that night you would know that nobody told on anybody, the thug does know how to tie his shoes, no the "wannabe thug" did not tell on anybody (if he had he wouldnt have the same charges as the other guy and he wouldnt be sitting in jail right now), and yes all of you need to stay out of things that you know nothing about. If you are really that interested in the case and what happened that night then go to the hearing, if not then stop commenting. These people have families too and you should show some respect and stop acting like you know everything. THANKS!!

Only a few problems with your post:

1. It's in news posting that has a means for commenting on the story. Don't want people to comment on it? Ask NBC29 to remove the story from their site and the moderators to remove the thread.
2. Nobody's getting into anyone's business. They're commenting on what's in the article which is public public information. If anything NBC29 is getting into their business.
3. Nobody is going to pay attention to your "you shouldn't", "don't", "stop" whatever. It's been done countless times on these forums and resulted in no change in commenting behavior and only makes the poster look like an idiot.
4. It's a free country with free speech... tough doo doo. Get over it.
