How to respond to requests to debate creationists

A professor at the University of Vermont, Nicholas Gotelli, got an invitation to debate one of the clowns at the Discovery Institute. Here's what they wrote.

Hey, Mr. SupAFC. Congratulations on the 5-0 shellacking of East Fife in the Scottish Cup on Tuesday. Getting the keeper red carded after only 3 minutes can't have helped, but it doesn't sound like East Fife were much competition.

Dunfermline should be a stiffer test, though still beatable.

Anyways, Go Dons.

Cheers. I felt for the keeper since it was his big night but you can't excuse the sending off. In theory we should beat Dunfermline but with Jimmy Calderwood in charge you can never be too sure against lower division sides(see Queens Park and Queen of the South).
