It is good for the Arabs, who lived under the oppression of these dictators for many years, and it will be good for the countries that support the Arab fight for liberty, democracy and a place for Islam.

For those who fear extremist forces taking over, it is these dictators that have created extremists.
With oppression and a lack of hope, extremism can grow, but with a nation of hope, the people have no need for extremism. Muslims are tollerant people, whatever ghadaffi or Mubarrak told you!!!

You cannot disarm militias by force.Gov ernment should give them employement or money aid during unimployement and clearly asure people that libyan resorces depend to all Libyan.Exluding Gadafy's tribes surely lead to unrests.Gadafy lost power because he excluded half of Libya from investing.

If the US or any other Western country thinks that we did all of this for their benefit, they are in for a very rude awakening! This was about people being freed from dictators, and Muslims being allowed to practice Islam! We will not allow any outside forces to take advantage of us. The West will be playing by OUR rules, from now on!

You are insane. The West may THINK they can get their way or pull the strings of Libya, but they are sadly mistaken! Did those fools really succeed with their attempts to maneuver in Vietnam? In Iraq? In Afghanistan? They may have been able to somewhat pull the strings of a Qadaffi or a Mubarak, but they will NEVER get away with any of their crap in a true Islamic State!!!

The main cause of arabic uprising is powerty of masses.some leaders are just fighting for power. They have no idea how to improve status of the mass. This is main difficulty of Arab Spring.Arab Spring should be socialistic revolution with islamisam as idea for unity. If Arabs want support of the world they must not threaten christians and Jews.

I agree that Islam must be the ideal for unity! The Arab Spring is about Arabs, not about Westerners.

Since when did Obama or Cameron interfere in the running of Libya since the removal of Ghadaffi??? I think it is you dispplaced Muslims that choose to live in the US, Norwary, Iceland etc that are most critical of Libya and its rebuilding. You may be muslim but you are not Libyan, they stayed home and fought, so you may have an opinion but recognize this that you are giving your opinion as an outsider and most people on the forum see it as an opinion of an outsider. So cut the crap about we and us and our because that is just crap and your own idealism, not that of the true Libyans that want freedom and choice

What about is Arab spring good for the Arabs? US supported Arab dictators for decades. If US cared for the Arabs they would have stopped supporting them dictators long time ago.
