The response to "IKE" was a "Cluster F---" from
day one! The evacuation bulletins were were confusing at best, and stupid at worst. Post
hurricane was a continuation of poor leadership
from the Federal Government down to our joke
of a City Council! A week after the storm, Galveston was forgotten by the rest of the country - if they heard of it at all! What we needed here was three or four thousand out of control dead beats shooting at cops and helicopters, looting everything that wasn't nailed down, and the Black caucus screaming it's
head off for more money! It worked for Katrina victims, they are STILL getting handouts from the Feds, and that storm was three years ago!
I say open the city up like it was in the 40s and
50s. At least when the MOB ran the place, everyone had a job, and crime was almost non-existent. Well, got to go stand in ANOTHER line.
